Actually, he is a dead ringer for Carl Reiner, the comic/writer (he's the father of Rob Reiner [Meathead on "All in the Family", director of When Harry Met Sally]).

I thought last night's episode did a good job moving the plot along just before next sunday's finale. For me the most interesting character in the story is Jimmy Darmoody. Having just watched HBO's War-torn 1861-2010 that surveyed PTSD in the Civli War, WWI, WWII, and Iraq/Afghanistan I feel I have a greater understanding of and sympathy for Jimmy who went to war as an undergraduate literature major at Princeton and came back a very different person.

BTW Richard, his disfigured WWI buddy, is played by Jack Huston, the 4th generation of actors from that famous family: Walter (great-grandfather), John (grandfather) and nephew of Angelica and Danny Huston.

I believe war torn mentioned Vietnam a little also,,just being a bit sensative.the guy does play an excellent role as the ex sniper, the medical problems and the mask seem well researched.

I have really enjoyed this series and look forward to the season wrap-up and season 2. What a fine job has been done on the characters. Jimmy and his Vet friend are easily the most interesting as are the Luciano and Rothstein characters. Going to be interesting to see how Nucky holds onto AC with all the stuff that is building up to fall on him. -- Al

What is up with that nut-case Bureau Agent??!! I like the War Vet's strategy for seeking out the Italian Mobsters and making them "pop their heads up"

You are exactly right--Vietnam was covered.

New season - and I missed the first episode! Thank goodness for On Demand.

I'm going to be missing this show. Because of ever increasing costs, cutting HBO was a sacrifice that had to be made.:( Too bad, because I enjoyed this last season. -- Al

I watched the opening episode last night. maybe it,s just me but it seemed the story line jumped around so much I couldn,t keep it straight.
