Joe don't use too much debris, or else you will get complaints that it takes away from the soldiers, who are the highlight of the scene....which we hear often.......Joe, I guess they have never seen WWII photos of battle damage.

And by the way, we will continue with massive destruction in our scenes, because it puts the soldiers in the realistic environment they were meant to be in..... Hey... and they like it better when they can't be seen too well :D....Keep up the good work. Alex

Hey Nick and Alex. Isn't it interesting how differently we collectors get our thrills out of our collections? I think you guys are like me, enjoying creating and directing scenes that capture a dramatic moment in time. The story and the action is more important than displaying the actual objects (The Toy Soldiers). The pictures we take are the objects we are most interested in. The soldiers are just another kind of prop in our production, perhaps telling less of the story than is told by the massive piles of rubble. There are others who get their rush with incredible shelf displays of ranks and ranks of figures and vehicles arranged in well lit cabinets. I'm not trying to be sarcastic but I'm reminded of Hummel Collections; Cool possessions but there is no magic there for me. Then there are the glossy collectors whose Collecting World View is completely alien to me. They like everything clean and shiny and nostalgic. (Or perhaps they just have a way better imagination than I do.) We all look at what thrills the others and are really quite mystified. We "look" at the same things but don't "see" the same things at all. I guess it's all part of the fun.

Nick...I was experiencing a bout of pyromania last night, so I sprayed a little clear gloss spray on some of the debris and lit 'er up. I wish I had a camera with manual F stop controls and a remote shutter switch. I still thought the shots came out pretty cool.

Joe

This has been argued a thousand times.....To each his own, as they say. You explained things very well......Us destruction guys have come a long way, in the past few years, and I think may be the majority by now....

As you said there is an incredible thrill in creating realistic historic scenes, rather than just placing them on a shelf, even if they are figures that are worth a fortune, it does nothing for me....... OK lets get to some destroying.

You, Us and Debrito are about the only real WWII destroyers I can think of, Pandagen has pretty pics, but keeps it pretty clean.

And watch yourself with that FIRE...Take it from a retired Firefighter.!!!!!!!:) Alex

Love your Work...As I said in the past, too bad you, Joe, and I don't live near each other. I would love to collaborate on a project. Alex

As alway Joe nice seeing you playing around. Great photos of Conte's GI's in the tick of it....The Lt.

Good series Joe........Sort of the end scene to Private Ryan. Watch out you don't burn your play table up, with all of that smoke and fire going on. I am retired from the Fire Department now, I can no longer help you out. :) Our talk the other day must have FIRED you up ! !

We wanted to do a scene like that in the near future...you beat is to the punch :(

No matter what era you play in Joe it;'s always a pleasure to see the results.....The Lt.
