Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL (4 Viewers)

Thanks for posting the pictures for me Carlos.

Germans defending a railway station vs Ivan, East Prussia, 1945. I got the idea from the final scene from "A Cross of Iron", I will add to it later and create a larger factory complex to go behind the railyard. All of the figures are metal 20mm wargaming figures, the vehicles are various plastic kits and resin wargaming kits............

Great stuf George!Your discipline holds firm sticking to 20mm.Looks fantastic.

I either have to get serious about getting that new building built at the farm this Spring, or sell off my 54mm and go back to 25mm.Theres no room at the Inn anymore.

Are those some of the Scenic Effects buildings?

Scott,
Yep, I'm a 20mm guy to the end. The buildings are actually a model railroading kit of a train station and railyard buildings; I bashed the station, rubbling out the far end of it.

Louis,
I appreciate you taking the time to comment on my collection. As much as you and other K & C collectors love Andy's products, I love 20mm just as much. I reallu enjoy being able to do huge displays, but also am getting more into smaller ones as well.

Thanks again, it's nice to know my collection is appreciated..........

Oh sure, now I have to start collecting a different scale. Thanks George :( :)
I can't make up my mind it's either :( or it's :)

George,

I know you are coming down for that show in Jersey Sunday March 11th. Are you going to try to make it to one or more of the Symposium events? Come down Friday and catch dinner at my club, or early enough Saturday to stop by the museum. I have a big two car garage where you can safely store your van. I know you are busy, but your are sorely missed at the Symposium each year.

George,

Great looking stuff and it certainly gives you the room to make good dioramas.

Mike,
I'll go with:) , I have loads of fun setting this stuff up and as Brad said, I can go to town with the displays due to the smaller size.

Louis, the organizer of the show has indicated now that it is in a convention center, there will be a window to get in there the night before and set up, which saves me the hassle of having to get up at 4:00am to unload the van and get it all set up by 9:00am, that is right, it is now a 5 hour operation from start to finish. I will have my dad helping me this year, so we will come down Saturday.

Depending on what time we can get in there, I may be able to swing by your house for the collection viewing and the talk by Andy; let me know when that will take place and I will give it a shot..................

The Saturday afternoon event starts as early as people want to start getting there (say 11:00 a.m.) and goes to around 4:30 p.m. There will be a nice catered lunch (which you and your dad can certainly partake in). Larry's dinner starts at around 7:00 p.m. I can't speak or Larry, but I'm pretty sure we'll find a way to fit you in there as well.

Here is our first diorama for 2007 sponsored by our Friend Ronnie. The aircraft are 1/72 Matchbox from my collection and Nick did the building.

We just received a number of new photos - here's the info on them:

"My name is Chet Milot and over the last couple of years me and my grandfather Richard Pfeifle have put together these dioramas. Each Diorama we constructed based on an accurate historical event including The Delhi Durbar of 1903, Battle of Quebec (French an Indian), Battle of Marye's Heights, Second Battle of Trenton, and The Alamo. "

I believe Chet just joined the forum!

Wow, magnificent!

Where have you guys been hiding? I love the different eras depicted in your dioramas. Keep up the good work and keep them coming.

Carlos
