Hey thank you all for the kind words dudes. I think its always interesting to view what other people collect and how they display it.

On the C-47 Dakota, I purchased it from a fellow forum member Noli-Poli. If I can recall correctly it was custom built by a shop in the Philippines. The body and wings of the plane are all one piece of mahogny wood and I believe it took a person over a year to make it. I love it, I still cant believe he sold it to me and its the "crown jewel" of my collection. The C47 has a wingspan of 39" and a total length of 26".

Take Care

That C47 certainly is a beauty!

How about a few close ups!

Wouldn't it be killer if K&C did a C47 with the clear windshield and windows and interior details? They did do some back in the day with the painted windows/windshield, but I was never able to get ahold of one. Andy told me that they custom made one with a tow cable hooked to a glider! Can you imagine how cool that must have looked!:cool::cool:

That would be sweet to see with a clear cockpit. I cant imagine what it would cost to have or ship though. Would be pretty cool though.

Again MCKENNA,

I truly enjoyed the pictures of this most unique collectors item (C47).

Hey Guys,

I guess I'm bored tonight and have just rearranged a diorama many of you have already seen. However, I mixed things up a bit and swapped out an old Britains Long Tom with the new Figarti Long Tom. I've put away my Sherman tanks and have added an 8" gun being towed by a M7 Priest courtesy of 21st Century and repainted by Mark V. of Build-A-Rama fame.

I hope you like the pictures,

Carlos

P.S. Sorry about the shaky camera hand I have.

Great shots of a great dio.

There's just not enough Gung Ho USMC figures on the market and collectors of the Pacific War are pretty rare as well. But I love it!
