I haven't posted on the K&C thread in awhile due my interest changing from more of a WWII collector to a Roman collector. With K&C adding some new Romans to there LOJ line I figured I would try them out. I'm still undecided if they fit in with what I'm doing or not. Oh well, I hope you like the pic.

Not really an area I am interested in now. Strange I lived so close to hadrians wall as a kid but, lost interest. Its a great picture though

I wish we could trade places for a week or so. I would love to make it to Hadrians wall one day. Maybe when I retire I can convince the wife ^&grin

Yes, they are definitely very vibrant. The Centurion is a wonderful piece to have. I'm just wondering what K&Cs overall agenda is for Romans in the LOJ range. It was good to see 2 mounted figures just released. Hopefully that won't be the end of them.

I hope you get there one day, the scenery and wall is stunning. When I was about 13 we used to grab our tents and rucksacks and walk or cycle from Carlisle to wallsend or, vice versa camping along the way great fun unless it started pouring with rain which, in that area it does a lot!!!. That was our adventure, must have done it about fifty times until we started hitting the lake district and scotland.

Don't mind at all. What a great set up you have there. I really like the backdrop. Where did you get it? I just got the ox cart. What do you think of it?

Joe the backdrop is Traverse{spelling?}I got it from Mike Miller on the Forum .It is Two sided and a great piece.I really like the Oxcart and will use it with a number of things.It is a great time to like Romans--so much stuff out and coming.Like you i am waiting for the new CS Rome 41 AD stuff and then you have First Legion and Conte coming out with Romans and The Marco Polo Line from Aeroart and FG.I see you do a load of Romans and love your Fort .The new one and the one you made.Thanks for letting me crash your thread.I am amazed more guys do not collect this period.Thanks again Mike B.^&grin

I know you are waiting for the new CS sets did you ever look at the Marco Polo stuff,with two FL.I like it a lot.Mike B.

Joe...Mike...both your oxcarts looks really nice...great pics too...the Traverse diorama backdrop is a nice touch too...

Accidentally placed this comment in the CS thread. Meant to put it here.

Thanks for the nice comments Mike. I enjoy looking at your post as well. I really like how you work the older conte figures into a lot of your shots. In fact after seeing one of your photos I had to go out and buy a couple of the sets.

It truly is a terrific time for us. There had been such a long drought on Romans that I was beginning to think they would never make a comeback. Now that there here their is no way I'm missing out. I think you will see more and more collectors start their own Roman range. It just seems that more people are seeing how great these figures are and are beginning to take advantage of it. If not it just leaves more for you and me^&grin

I have debated on the Marco Polo Romans but I want to see the pieces in person first. I also want to know how committed they are with the brand.

I love the additional pics. I missed out on the early K&C Romans. I really like their archers. Hopefully some archers will pop up soon.

Thxs Mike, the Ox cart is starting to grow on me. Thanks for the info from both Mikes on Traverse Dioramics. The website provides some quality backdrops to pick from. I'll probably end up getting 1 or 2 of them for my dioramas.

There all great pics starting to regret selling all my Romans now.......................{sm2}

It's great to see the Roman empire expanding again in such colourful figures, I think K&C are on a winner here with this series. The Ox cart is a welcome prop making the scene that much more interesting. Sure more collectors will get on board with the pending Roman theme coming out of LOJ at this time. Thanks for posting photo's. Cheers, Robin.

Mike M.,wayne,and villagehorse thanks for your time to look and post.Mike B.
