Answering the wishes of many collectors, Figarti Miniatures proudly introduces its 1/30th scale “Reichsbahn” line to recreate the WWII German railway system tasked with moving material and personnel throughout the German Reich and conquered territories. The showpiece is our massive 78 cm “BR 52 Locomotive” (ETG-033) in the striking black livery with contrasting red wheels, a single engineer figurine and section of railway track. Done the Figarti Way, the BR 52 has a highly detailed engine cabin with photo-etched piping, the buffers contain springs so they compress like the real thing, and the railway track is metal hand spiked to real wood ties.
A powerful freight engine needs railway cars to pull, and Figarti has provided a useful variety. Again done the Figarti Way, the metal wheels of all the railway cars move, and all have the moveable buffers at each end of the cars. The “Flatbed Wagon” (ETG-034) is a low goods wagon converted to a train guard railway wagon with the addition of gun ports. The “Gondola Wagon” (ETG-035), built with real wood sides, was used to transport a wide variety of things like supplies, prisoners of war, horses, and coal. The ubiquitous “Boxcar Wagon” (ETG-036) comes with sliding doors and removable roof so collectors can easily display a wide variety of goods inside. The “Light Flatcar Wagon” (ETG-037) was used to transport light vehicles like trucks and small armor vehicles.
To complete a trackside scene, Figarti provides a wide variety of accessories: “Military Police” (ETG-038) with two figures and a German Sheppard dog to guard the track, “Railway Supplies 1” (ETG-039), “Railway Supplies 1” (ETG-040). “Track Barrier” (ETG-041), “Water Column” (ETG-042), “Coaling Crane” (ETG-043), “Antiaircraft Machine Gun” with two figures (ETG-044), “MG 42 Guard” with two figures (ETG-046), sitting soldier and sitting officer in "News from the Fatherland" (ETG-050), two paratroopers playing cards in "Just throw in your hand" (ETG-051), two soldiers in "Protecting the Train" (ETG-052), two marching soldiers "Guarding the Track" (ETG-057), two guards in "Achtung!" (ETG-058), an officer inspecting the German guards in "Inspection" (ETG-059), and three sitting soldiers on “Two Weeks Leave” (ETG-060),
"Extra Railway Track" to lengthen your track available as ETG-56. Future releases will include a "Medium Flatcar Wagon" (ETG-045) used to carry medium tanks like the Panther, “Low Goods Wagon” (ETG-047), and “Passenger Wagon” (ETG-048) with additional railway cars planned.
