Brandenburg Gate, Berlin 1945............................. (1 Viewer)

Excellent George !:salute::
Steve

Steve,
Thanks for the feedback, glad you like it...............I know you're a huge Napoleonics fan, so no worries, I've got something cooking from that era soon, I promise. Please keep posting your Napoleonic dioramas as they are great, that massive British square you did awhile ago is one of my all time favorites on this forum..................

Just one thing... I think the russians attacked from the "Tiergarten", not from the "Unter den Linden" street. :cool:

I agree, I think they attacked from the other direction to be honest, the more I read up on it, the more that seems to be the case.............however, this looks better.............:wink2:^&grin

Incredible display.

Thanks Andy, you could get into this scale too, but then you'd have to sell your white rocket ship and we both know that would never happen.............:wink2:

George, Just saw this display. Now that is a Big Boy play set....wow !!! Very nice {bravo}}

Love this view of the attack going down George!!! the whole display is fantastic, and I'm sure hours of enjoyment were had putting this sweet one together, if there is anything better then a large table with tons of toy soldiers and a unlimited vision of battles to be fought I haven't found it yet. thanks for the photos of your latest battle.

Thanks Wayne, glad you like it............I should have done a bit more research because as Poppo pointed out, the Russians came towards the gate through the park, not the other way around like I've got it.............but as I said, my version looks better.........^&grin

Thanks Sammy; great minds think alike, this is my favorite shot as well.

Thanks as well for those positive Patriots vibes, please keep them going for the next 10 days or so as the Patriots gear up to play the 80's Chargers/90's Bills/2001 Greatest Show on Turf Rams offenses all rolled into one in Atlanta............:rolleyes2:

thanks chris, glad you like it.

The brandenburg gate used to be available through a 20mm wargaming company called britannia based out of the uk, it is long out of production, i was lucky enough to get one when they were available. I assembled and weathered it, then added the chariot on the top, it's a 28mm wargaming piece i found, looks perfect to me on top of the gate..............

great display george, so thats what my brandenburg would like assembled. I thought mine came with a chariot but maybe not. When i get back in my home in a couple months i will have to check it out. Good stuff george
