Sometimes problems don't show up until things are in everyday use and long signed off, though changing things after without testing, well !
Terrible waste of those US and Allied troops who lost there lives because of the problems.

Vietnam was a brutal harsh climate...tough on a weapon...the good thing about the AK's was that they had so few moving parts...I own a Chinese model and they are simple to breakdown and reassemble...
