Last Sunday was the 2015 K&C Brisbane Dinner............here are some pics, well a few by those that remembered to take some! :rolleyes2:

Set up............

Even let the odd Kiwi attend...:wink2:

Queenslander......^&grin

The Re-enactors........

Afterwards...............

It was wonderful evening, Many thanks to Andy, Gordon, Brett and Gerelou. A special mention must go to Martin (Jack) without whom the evening and all that lead up to it would not have happened, thanks mate.

Wayne.

More than 50 attended the Q&A earlier in the day and the dinner was attended by more than 80. It gets better each year. :salute::

Thanks Wayne for posting a great series of snaps taken over several days of fun and games at the Brissy Dinner. :salute::

Thankfully there was little sign of any photo bombing or those horrendous selfie sticks, however there was this strange 'Kiwi' over-stayer who tried to palm himself off as a waiter and then helped himself to several beers and a couple of platefuls from the buffet....cheeky sod...{eek3}:wink2:

...and who also appears in the wreath laying photo alongside the representative from France with the wreath they laid cooperatively to commemorate that belle alliance...lest we forget that there were many nations who sacrificed citizens in the Great War. Even the preliminary ceremony was more meaningful this year :salute::

I did say the 'ODD' Kiwi.... oops sorry 'Zespri'.

Good thing I wasnt able to go as I dont own a necktie

The nation grown from a penal colony could always find a spare necktie 'ta be sure' {sm4} a small gesture to welcome guests who travel from afar:salute::

I was very honored to again be asked to lay a wreath, this time jointly on behalf of the Kiwi's and our French allies. Was wonderful to meet your lovely wife Bob and even better to share a table with you and your family, Wayne, Tom and another French couple along with an interesting ex-army military re-enactor.

Hearing the last post from a talented young bloke and the magic of the bagpipe's, accompanied with Martin's commentary also added that special something to the event.:salute::

Mate, don't let that hold ya back. I hear it's going to be Hawaiian shirts and grass-skirts only next year!{eek3}^&grin

You have got yours already mate.
