Same here, strange^&confuse, Robin.

Hi Guys - I ended up shipping in three boxes from the US for the London show last weekend (Fedex was kind enough to get the bill to me already - $150 per box of 80 catalogs...OUCH!). Needless to say, it has been a, ah...challenging time. The UK catalogs and Standards are in house as of this past Monday and should be with you all next week. I am sorry you were told they were sent two weeks ago, there have been some crossed wires, dashed hopes, and delays beyond belief. That said the June catalog is already well underway and if it kills me we're getting this one out "on time" - which will be the June London Show.

Thank you for your patience, and as was said in another post there are some really good figures and great values in the catalog so enjoy!

Richard

Update much appreciated. Great to know we won't have to wait for much longer for both Catalogue and Standard.

Thanks Richard for the update. No problem at all just checking it wasn't lost in the mail :)

They've arrived. New catalogue and latest Standard just delivered by postman to my part of SE England. Quick glimpse shows it's been well worth the wait. A nice looking WWII US Marine is being issued as part of the Ceremonial Series, of which I was previously unaware.

Yep mine today, 80 page Winter catalogue the biggest yet, go Britain's.{sm4}, Robin.

Got mine today as well. Great catalogue, certainly lots of content to keep a collector busy.

As stated a giant catalogue, but surprised poor old Durbar did not get a mention. Does not bode well for the future of this series, maybe the previous offerings covered all the iconic material and there is nothing to put forward or maybe it was not well supported by collectors. I know I did my bit.^&confuse, Robin.

Hi Robin,

It is my understanding the Britains matte Durbar line has been discontinued. I hope my understanding is inaccurate, but I fear it is not.

Like yourself, I did my part to keep the series alive. Unfortunately, there may not been enough of "us" to encourage the continuation of the line.

I was not aware you collected the Durbar. Do you collect any of the glossy Durbar figures?

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Robin,
Unfortunately, whilst a colourful series, simply not the customer demand from my experience.

Thanks Pat for the intel, was collecting Matte, but seems I can close this series which is good sort of, because recently I have started 2 new ones, Robin.

I'm glad I saw this picture too late to start collecting. Looks just superb.

Guess I should not tell you this Jack, but all the Durbar figures are available from the TF shop 'sales items' at a reduced cost and the rest of the figures are K&C series SOTE still available. {sm4}, Robin.

You would take a bottle of whiskey to an AA meeting with that attitude!!

I wish I had picked up my catalogue at the London show. I still haven't received anything from Bachmann:mad:.
I contacted them last week and they told me that they had sent out all the catalogues and I should get mine by the end of last week.
Nothing arrived so I contacted them again yesterday and they said "it got lost in the post". "We'll send you another one"^&confuse.
How do they know it's got lost in the post? I've never known the Post Office to contact someone and say "Oh by the way you know that letter you sent last week well we lost it" The only way that can happen is if it's a tracked item requiring a signature. I have never known a WB catalogue to have a tracking number before.
Has anyone received their catalogue in the UK and had to sign for it? Is anyone else still waiting for their catalogue?

Paul

I think the "lost in the post" is just a generalizing term much like "the cheque is in the mail" WB catalogs are not sent recorded delivery.

Just let them send you another one, mistakes happen.

Two thing I noted that threw me off

1. On the dealers list didn't understand what the dealers in BOLD represented. (Be note at the top of the page, missed it is there was one).

2. The dealers are listed alphabetically which is fine if you know the name of the dealer. If you are looking for a dealer in your area it takes a smidge more looking to find one.

Two very minor points, but may help a newbie collector in the future.
