Welcome to the forum Panzer lll. I enjoyed your collection and especially the motorcycles and the Britain's Long Tom gun. Leadmen

Hi PanzerIII. Welcome to our world! Nice bunch of guys you got there. Is that a mix of old and new?

Thank you all for the Welcome. I have actually been at the Forum quit a lot, but have never contributed, sorry for that.
Yes it is a mix off Old made in Uk and Old made in China and New Made in China.
And also New made in Argentina.
So quit a mix. This is actually some old pictures, since I have added a lot of stuff (21st Century, New Ray, Dinky, Timpo ect.) As long as it is WW2 scale 1:32 (54mm), die-cast, metal & plastic, then it is OK for me, if I can afford it.

Yes it was also my 6 pcs Deetail WW2 Germany Set (which I got some 33 years ago for my 6 years birthday) when I refound them about 4 years ago, that got me started again. And now I can not stop.

That's ok mate, you are amongst fellow collector addicts here :D

You certainly have more multiples than I used to have in my detail collection because I would only keep the best example of a model or figure and sell the extras to finance further additions.

The old Britians Deetail figures are pretty neat, I've got a couple of sets of

them I'll have to dig out and photograph.

I always liked the British Commandos and the SAS.

Great collection, thanks for sharing! I've got some WWII sets, some Foreign Legion sets and some decaying Knights. Like others, some of these sets come from...let me see, the Seventies, when I was about 8 to 10 years old, and refinding them together with some Timpo figures when searching for old toys for my son made me get into collecting. I just love those mortars that do indeed fire bombs ( unexplodable that is:D ). My son has already fired a few shots with those mortars, under General Paulo's supervision of course, those Jap and Brit mortars are...more than 30 years old!::eek:
I also bought some DSG from Argentina some years ago, very nice figures, but now I am all heavy metal:D. Maybe those DSG Aussies will distract me...

I got both sets of the DSG Aussies and put the old style metal bases on them, they look and feel, really good.

great collection,i also have a large collection of deetail,i remember the days before ebay and DSG when they were very hard to find here in oz,unless you wanted to pay top $$ of a dealer.
I have a soft spot for them ,these were my favourite soldiers to play with when i was a kid in england.

Nice collection you have there. A bit of nostalgia for a lot of us I would guess. I used to have a fair amount of these....used to pick one or two out with my lawn mowing $$ every now and then at Kaybee toys. Sadly sold most of them a while back, but I'm sure they found a good home.

I have quite a few ww2,enjoy the brits and always wanted the legion, never seemed to come across many at regular prices.

Inspired by PanzerIII's nice post of his Britains Deetail collection I pulled an

all nighter. Actually no big deal since I am a "Night Owl" anyway.

In a pure case of too much stuff I ran across two beautiful Neptune

Waterline Ships I had forgotten to take out of the boxes! So it was a fun

night!

I also found a couple of sets of the larger scale Airfix which were very hard

to come by years ago when I found all this neat stuff.

First here are the Airfix, one set of Brits, the other SAS, or Seals.

Here is the Bonus two really neat 1/1200 Neptune Waterline ships. They

come tied down & sitting on "Fly Paper" to protect them from damage as they

are quite fragile.

We have a heavy crusier Chicago, and a fleet oiler Cimarron.
