Britains Hamleys LE (1 Viewer)

Ok, the other thread got me thinking. How many Hamleys Limited Editions were there and years of release?

I know of the Gordon Drums and Regimental Band. Would like to get a list of year, set numbers, etc.

I have a few, but know I am missing some.

I know of a couple:

set no. 00319 - Royal Guard of Honor, The Queen's Company - Grenadier Guards -1899 (add on set). (Limited Edition) ( 6 pieces).

set no. 00105 - Royal Guard of Honor, The Queen's Company - Grenadier Guards -1899. (Limited Edition) (13 pieces).

The Regimental band of the 1st Battalion The Gordon Highlanders.

The Drume and Pipes of the 1st Battalion The Gordon Highlanders.

Hmmmm There are probably 100's of them. Perhaps these will be covered in Norman Joplins book when it comes out this year.

That last set is particularly nice.

Actually, there are not that many LE from Hamley in Modern Britains.

The 4 we have here (thanks Dickbuttons) are the 4 I thought I knew about and think I have.

The ones I am missing are the Hussar regiment posted in the other thread, when were they released?

The tricky thing is, that once in a while Britains produced almost the same set for Hamley's as they were selling in the regular line. For example, they sold sets of the "Trooping the Color" series for Hamley's. And, the only difference I can detect is the box. I have no idea how many of these limited edition sets might have been produced.

Thanks, yup, have all those too, I didn't really count those, mainly looking at the LE's. Do you know anything about the set Bernard posted (hussar regiments?)

I belive Hamleys also did a limited edition of one of the Hussar Rgts right after they did the two Gordons sets.

I was thinking of the trooping of the colour and other similar sets as well as the first ones posted
