It would not be a show without the new guns... according to Richard they have been delayed till November.... they will be on display at the Chicago shown a couple of weeks if anyone is attending

Last pics I promise... one ww1 britains diorama and another non britains light horsemen that was too good to pass up ( I have some closeups if any one is interested) Also a possible idea for britains so that is why I will include it on the Britains section of this board 20120908_104617.jpg20120908_103445.jpg

Thank you for posting. Slightly perplexed with the Zulu gun limber, for some reason the towed gun is separate from the piece as if it's an add on. In the stock photos it is shown as part of the set on one long base. Very interesting!!!!! Cheers, Robin.

I talked to Richard about the delay and he said there were some difficulties in shipping the product as the base was not strong enough when shipped and they are correcting it as we speak - so that likely explains the convention pic. I think the stock pic will be the one that ships later this year....

Thanks for the intel, I would rather wait longer for it's release if it means a more sound piece given the cost involved. Great seeing photos of diorama's at shows, can never get tired of looking to get ideas on how to display the figures. When I saw the WW1 trench layout for a second I thought I had posted my photo already as I currently have the trench laid out on the lounge floor, with my photos ready to be posted later this week after my Arnhem layouts have cooled on my thread Time On My Hands At Last. Cheers, Robin.

Many thanks for the pictures and the update :salute::

Cheers

Martyn:)

Great pics and many thanks. I agree with Robin that limber set does look like a bit of a let down. I do hope they correct the base to include the gun. IMO it would just look stupid otherwise.

As I have said all along separate horses !!! All the other makers do it.

The Lighthorse make an appearance in the WB thread! I was WB all the way until those little beauties surfaced. I've had my head turned for good now, I'm such a TS ****! They're the finest range I ever did see and if I were WB I wouldn't allow my models to be displayed anywhere near them!

On the limber piece, it doesn't so much look like a base as a plinth.

They were situated in different buildings (light horse in the barracks and wb in the blockhouse) at the convention....lol

I have been collecting the WW1 range but have thus far refrained from the trench pieces because when I viewed them together with the gun emplacement section at my local show the colours of each section did not match. From your pictures that still seems to be the case. Did they say anything about this or can amyone who owns all three sections confirm this problem has been sorted?

Problem sorted, cheers, Robin.

All trenches fit fairly nicely together, Cheers, Robin.

Good catch - we have decided to leave the gun separate and not on an extended base as pictured in the catalog. Long story short there were some issues with the extended base at the back/overall length of the base to weight ratio which meant damage. So the gun will not rest on the base. This will mean a slight 3-4mm difference in height between the limber and gun - which folks in Toronto and UK did not seem to have an issue with.

Thanks for the pics and info. Just out of interest, and forgetting the gun emplacement trench piece, do the other two trench pieces fit together no matter which way you put them side by side? What I'm driving at is, could you by three trench pieces i.e. two of them being the same and they would still happily fit together?
