I recently set up a new small display in my study. It contains the special edition Williamsburg figures that were made by Britains solely for The Toymaker of Williamsburg. Being the rev war buff that I am and having been to Williamsburg a couple of times, I had to add these figures to my collection.

Hope you like it.

Looks great Mark. The cannon is a nice touch.
Now all you need is to have fife and drum music playing in the background.

From one Rev War Buff to THE REVWARBUFF ... Very, very nice sets and enjoy the way that you have set up the display.

Nice set, Mark! Is there a color to go with the field musick, too?

I like the football display case, too, ;) it's one of my favorites from Michael's. You can fit a nicely-sized display in it, and the mirror creates an impression of depth.

Prost!

I like the peek into your study, too. It looks like a nice place to sit and contemplate history, while enjoying your soldiers, or reading a book.

Thanks Brad. You said it though.....I tried very hard to make my study just what you described it. I love sitting at my desk, reading/studying and taking in all the history in the shape of those little figures we collect and the art on the walls, which I try to rotate often.

As for the colors, yes, WB made a flag bearer for this set but he is currently out of stock.

This is very nice. Very personal and unique. I think Mark has been to Williamsburg - a magic place - a couple of times. This display probably allows him to relive those memories. Could be worse I imagine.

My study has my grandfather's desk at which he signed the death warrants for underperforming slave laborers from Eastern Europe.

Whoa ... {sm2} ...that is a rather deep and dark statement ... but one which might warrant a bit of further information???
I still have my "tiny" desk when I was 8 or 9 but also a mixture of antiques and "utilitarian" furniture.

Virtually the same grouping exists in the figures accompanying Department 56's Williamsburg Collection. I have them myself. Of course, the Britain's are more detailed. Is the Williamsburg Foundation is licensing things everywhere?

I would like to concur with previous posters- I think an explanation to that statement is in order.....

My grandfather ran several manufacturing sites for construction materials during the war. During the war, male workers were first replaced by German women and when women were moved into production of more sensitive goods (such as weapons), they were replaced with slave laborers from Eastern countries. I think it is fair to say that working conditions in the last years of the one thousand year Reich were not great.

Family legend has it he was sentenced to be executed by a firing squad after the war, but ultimately was pardoned and "only" received a prison sentence.

Sorry, Mark, I did not want to hijack this thread. :(

Thanks for the explanation- obviously, nothing against you , but I figured as much. My great uncles and aunts (my grandfather's siblings) were Eastern European Jews at that time, so you can understand my surprise.....
