Thanks guys, the next addition (rainy day permitting :D) will be the fleshy bits!

Jeff

That is so cool ;)
Just checked the weather channel over in the UK. Looks good for me :D
Out of the next seven days, 5 of them are rainy days (wednesday, friday, sunday, monday and tuesday) :D:D

Good to see them come alive now.
Once the skin tones are applied it makes a big difference.
Looking good, Jeff, thank you!
Oh, and sorry about the bad weather at home :D

Konrad,

The sun is shining (somewhere but not here :D) and my yellow paint has dried up so I have been concentrating on the Officer and Sergeant who have the fancy bits in gold. These two are nearly finished....hats and bases to go.

Coming on nicely Jeff, great painting.
I've spent the past week on a narrow boat on the Stratford Canal, working my way through 110 locks.

In the rain.

Bugg*r.

Hi Simon,

Thought you have been quiet lately, shame about the weather this last couple of weeks, but that's England for you

At least skin is waterproof, even if the waterproofs aren't waterproof:rolleyes:

Konrad,

The sun is out now......but I have been stuck inside painting soldiers :p:D:D

Officer and Sarge are now complete and so on with the yellow tomorrow.

Nice job Jeff.
Are you using Humbrel metallic enamels?
I've been cheating a bit and using acrylic metallics 'cause I did'nt think it would make much difference, but the paint on yours looks richer with a nicer finish.

Fraid so....Humbrol gold and silver given a good stir and used from the palette, I've never used acrylic paints before, so I can't really compare.

Jeff

Sold.
I'll dust off my silver and gold enamels and give them a fresh lease of life.
Just been re looking at the photos. I think these are some of your best yet. Really impressive finish on the detailing.
What's the weather forecast like for this weekend? :)

Oh man, Jeff,
I like those officers, I really do. They came out very very well.
Thanks a lot for such a fine and detailed finish.
Simon already asked about the weather forcast, so I don't have to :D

Yes, looking good, Jeff! These Tradition figures are great.

This is my favorite style, for painting, for the choice of figures. Is this also your main style, for your figures?

Prost!
Brad

Wow Jeff you must have the patience of a saint. They truely do look absolutely stunning, and as said may be some of your best work todate.

And in the words of Al Johnson

Though April showers may come your way,
They bring the flowers that bloom in May.
So if it's raining, have no regrets,
Because it isn't raining rain, you know, (It's raining violets,)
And where you see clouds upon the hills,
You soon will see crowds of daffodils,
So keep on looking for a blue bird, And list'ning for his song,
Whenever April showers come along.

I take it that there's glorious sunshine in Ontario then?

Well I don't know what to say really

The latest Tradition castings must be some of the best on the market today for detail and crispness and this helps in the painting.

I don't actually have any gloss figures in my collection, but I find that gloss suits my style of painting these days compared to when I first started out (all those years ago ) painting in matt with all the shading and highlighting etc. There is certainly a charm to having a deep gloss finish.

Weather appears to be a mixed bag again, but these need to be finished this weekend as the owner is chomping at the bit :D

Thanks for all the positive comments, it helps keep me going set after set......I blame Brad for all this. :D

Regards

Jeff
