Hi ! here is a picture of a "british grenadier" during the napoleonic wars from ebay by Kolobob. Does anyone know anything about this regiment ? When was it created ? The engagement (waterloo or else) ? Apart from the colors (red and yellow) he really looks like a french grenadier. Why such a resemblance ? He could be as well a swiss grenadier under the french. It is astonishing. I have mny books about napoleonic uniforms and none of them refer to those grenadiers. Can you help me ?$(KGrHqJ,!qcE88ftRu69BPR70e,)Q!~~60_3.jpg
 
Looks to be a man of the Grenadier company, 1st Swiss Regiment - in the service of the French, circa 1812.
 
I don't think he's any kind of British Grenadier. As you say more like the Swiss.
