British Guard Company Under Attack (2 Viewers)

It doesn't look good for the Guards but they maintain the discipline of their square and stubbornly resist the French attacks.

Great display. I hope the ending is going to be the right one ...................with the Guards winning !!!

Bill, this is a rather neat display you have put together, certainly shows off the FL figures to their best. I reckon there will be more than a few empty saddles at that range :D

The French realize that they much prevent the Guards from reaching the protection of the rocks so the fiercest attacks come from that quarter.

The fighting is grim and soon becomes personal. Captain Roberts screams, "Get the Bloody B*****d!!!!!"

All along the sides of the square, the French cut frantically and the British thrust and fire.

Well Bill after months of discussion between us on the many options of how to display your excellent FL figures in a dio I have to say it has certainly paid huge dividends. This is a stonking achievement- absolutely superb!

For a "novice dio builder" (your description of yourself I must hastily add) you have swiftly moved up the scale on how to effectively display troops in a thrilling battle diorama. And you have humbled this Confederate sympathiser as I note you have taken onboard quite a few of my tips on getting the best effects with placement/position of large group of figures for photographing. For a WIP this effort is simply outstanding.

I also note the FL British conversions are front and center and kudos for imagining exactly what you needed altering and exactly where you wanted them as they are spot on and hit the mark. Well worth the aggro of shipping to and fro across the pond to get that museum finish eh! What did I tell you? ;)

A reminder Bill of something else I mentioned in our many missives to each other-and now confirmed. As you progress with your dio by adding to your collection (standfast TS budgets)......."You're going to need a bigger boat":D:D

Very well done, Bill. Very impressive.

I am also quite enamored with the FL British.

Thanks again for the kind remarks. Bob, praise from the master is indeed much appreciated, as was your considerable help that has contributed so significantly to the progress I have made. I know well you noticed that I have still have more of your lessons to apply, including the a better use of ground cover but hopefully I will continue to learn from the fine advice and examples provided by you and some others here. I know you have spotted our talented friends contributions to the mix; you are quite right about the boat and the budget.:D
