Just an update on this thread, I thought I would knock up a backdrop showing the far bank of the Nile River. Found on the Internet and printed off then mounted on card, which stands behind the case. Not the best photo as I had a lot of problems with reflections and glare but you get the gist of it!

Jeff

Jeff - been following along - stunning! The case, the base and the back drop is amazing - finishes the entire scene off nicely! Thank you for giving one of our favorite creations such a fitting home.

Wonderful display. I love it. It brings out the best of the collection. Congratulations.

Are you going to install a loudspeaker system making motor noises, gun shots and waves? ^&grin

Well thank you Richard :smile2: but really the thanks should go to the talented creators behind the model, the display case and river scenic items. All I did was put them all together. The centrepiece of my collection for sure and a real talking point for visitors most of which don’t have any interest in our hobby.

Cheers :smile2:

Excellent display Jeff. Everything goes together so well. I saw the one displayed at the London show and is a great looking piece. It was also nice to meet you and the others there. Thanks for sharing your outstanding display.

Thanks Duke. :smile2:

I had been admiring the WBritain display for a number of shows – I still can’t believe I’ve got one.

It was nice to meet you as well and I hope you had a great time during your stay over here.

Jeff

As I told you in London the other week I never tire of looking at that Nile boat display of yours and likewise again...it's a real beaut.

I feel almost part of it as well due to me helping you carry it to the bar last March :rolleyes:

Great work Jeff and a display to feel very proud of

That was very helpful Bob :rolleyes2: But what I really needed was a Pathfinder General through the underground crowds! :wink2: ^&grin

Cheers :salute::

I’ve been flicking through the WBritains catalogue and really liked the look of the accessories set available for the Zulu War range. A small brain wave later and the Gunboat has a few more stores on board, the remainder will find a suitable placement in the Desert Column display.
