Meeting up w/ Mark and Sandy of Build-a-Rama is always one of the highlights of the Westcoaster for me. I anxiously look forward to BaR's new products they debut annually at the show, and BaR always comes loaded w/ custom, one-of-a-kind creations just for the show. This year there were so many I was considering that my head literally spinning. I picked out a few diorama "necessity- like" (some roadwork, foilage, etc.) products first, and not long after that I found my decision about buying a custom piece was made much easier for me, because fellow collector's were buying them all up! I finally settled on a battle torn structure surrounded by rubble. It has one main section, and I also got a modular second section that neatly slides seamlessly together w/ the main section. I'm really happy w/ it, and I'll share some pics of it set up once I get a chance to have some fun with it. But for now I have a lot of pics to post for you guys! I would also like to thank BaR for the fantastic seminar, and thanks to Sierra Toy Soldier Co. for once again sponsoring this fun event. This was the 2nd annual BaR event at the Westcoaster, and it certainly has become a staple of the Westcoaster experience already. The prizes were awesome (THANK YOU!!!:)), and I believe everyone in attendance received a gift ranging from BaR's new diorama backdrops (which you'll see a few of in the pics), diorama bases, mats of all size ranges including a huge one, battle torn buildings, trees and a Nissan hut! It's was great time for all. There's always a lot of smiles in the BaR room, and it's always fun to look through the huge stock of production items they always bring to the show, but the custom pieces this year, overall, may have been BaR's most spectacular yet. Enough words already, here are some pics...

I will be back w/ some pics shortly...I've exceeded my photobucket bandwidth from all the K&C, Figarti & CS photos I posted yesterday. Sorry for the delay but I'll have them up shortly. Thanks, Joe

As great as Joe's pics are, it is very difficult to do Build-a-Rama pieces justice in a photo. I was impressed by Mark's consistent quality and the sheer quantity of great pieces he is producing. As always, innovative new pieces appeared at the show, including a great new line of backdrops!

I was really impressed with all these wonderful new offerings, Mark! Congrats!

Yes indeed, Their diorama products are definately a valuable asset to enhancing the
appearance of any display...large or small. Great Pics ! Thanks......:smile2:

Nice pics Joe and great items Mark. I have many BAR items in my collection and I think they are all great. Makes coming up with a dio scene much easier.
