I would stain it a light honey color, put two coats of polyurethane and then drag it to the curb and start again. I believe a man of your talents can do better. What was your address again? and when's trash day. Just kidding!!! Excellent work Alex.
Okay here is my 95% done display cabinet. I just need to install the glass in the middle part and add the sliding arms so it can slide to the left. After all that work I don't think I have enough room.
Very nice work Alex, this is coming from a cabinet maker by trade. I always try and make large pieces that can be moved, but I have done many built-in jobs. It won't take you anytime at all, to fill it up. Great piece, Mike
Wow! I am impressed.
Fantastic job. You know having large numbers of toy soldiers , they really do need to be on display. I'll bet there are a BUNCH of guys/gals out there who would love to have a few displays like this so that they could at least show off part of thier collection. Great job...
very nice set-up there. Have you thought about installing lights on each shelve in the end units or will depend on the ceiling lights to illuminate the display?
I'm using the ceiling lights to illuminate the side shelves. Silly me I was just going to use them for books but there is not going to be any room. Both shelves on the sides of the middle shelf will only hold most of my K&C Germans. I still need the Allies plus all the other WWII stuff from Figarti, Frontline, Hounor Bound, Britains, Patriot, etc.
Here it is almost full with plenty more soldiers to go. I placed some dioramas in the middle but will be replaced with some new custom dioramas. Status report on the figures: 3 scratch and 1 MIA. So not to bad for the amount of figures I had to move.
