That looks like "something".............I wouldn't call it "interesting", but hey, that's IFC films for you.

I think by "werewolves" they mean German partisans that were supposed to fight behind enemy lines and not the Lon Chaney, Jr kind, but I could be wrong.

One truck and a handful of guards to transport Hitler's remains? I know it's fiction but really?

Hard to say, they looked like actual werewolves to me, but maybe that was their schtick, dress like a wolf.

Speaking of which, as big as a horror fan as you are, I'm sure you've seen "Dog Soldiers" about a group of soldiers out on maneuvers in Scotland that run into a family of werewolves, IMO it's very good, there was supposed to be a sequel, but sadly it never happened.

There is a big reveal towards the end that is very well done and comes out of nowhere; well actually, if you pay attention, you'll see it coming.........;).......

It's been years since I saw "Dog Soldiers" but yes that's a good one. I recently watched "An American Werewolf in London". That hasn't held up well (although a couple of great scenes). There was an obscure move in the 70s "Wolfen" that was a hoot. They somehow got Albert Finney to star. It was mostly filmed in NYC in the late 70s and captured the amazing urban decay of that time period. There were areas of NYC that looked like Europe after WWII. Block after block of complete rubble.

American Werewolf in London used some pretty amazing practical effects for its day, "Wolfen" is not a bad one and yes, New York looks like a combination of Berlin in 1945 and Stalingrad in 1942/43 in that movie, unreal.

Really? A Vital and Secret military mission using One open truck and minimum support, what could possibly go wrong :wink2:

I know about the actual German Werewolves in WW2, but have to agree with Louis that these Germans seem like the Hairier version. I've seen Dog Soldiers several times, one of my favourite movies, but wasn't familiar with some of the British slang used in the film when I first watched it, have since learned that 'Bone' is British military slang for 'Pointless' and has nothing to do with Dogs or Werewolves ^&grin

The war was over by the time the Russians dealt with Hitler's remains. There was a lot of skullduggery. Stalin had some fixation on secrecy including hinting, for inexplicable reasons, that perhaps Hitler had survived. Either he didn't want to give anyone ideas that a dictator could be removed or maybe wanted to use the Hitler as a boogeyman. I find it hard to believe that Hitler's body was so destroyed by a fire to such an extent that almost nothing was left. Allegedly just a dental bridge and/or piece of his skull. But we will probably never know. The Allies made great efforts to avoid allowing any burials of high ranking Nazis. I think only Heydrich has a grave because he died in 1942. Someone tried to dig him up a few years ago for unknown reasons.

Yes a real mystery, I haven't read much about it myself, I assume Eva Braun's body was burned as well.
