Today, while going through some stuff in the "storage" room I made a lucky find. One of the boxes included some Britains Oak Trees that I totally forgot about. I think that these trees go very well with the new FIW glossy figures by Britains.
As an example I have attached three pictures showing them with some French Troopers of the Franches de la Marine, 1754-1763.
Hope you like them.
Konrad

Congratulations on your find today Konrad. Good idea, too, about setting those figures up like you did! Very impressive. Thanks for sharing them.

Thank you, Revwarbuff,
here are some other pictures with other trees (Schleich).

One of Roger's Rangers is giving instructions to a few members of the 60th (Royal American) Regiment of Foot, Light Company, who were picked to support the Rangers in an upcoming mission.

Nice arrangement and story-telling combination.

Hello Harry,
very pleased to see that you like the FIW period and that there are chances you will join in the subject, especially after seeing some of your nice diorama works.
Thanks!
Konrad

Although the British suffered a terrible defeat at the "Monongahela" battle, the French and Indian forces were not left unhurt. Shown here is the fatal moment early in the battle when the French Leader Captain Lienard de Beaujeu received a deadly British round. It was only due to his second in command, Captain Jean-Daniel Dumas who took over the lead immediately and rearranged the Canadian/Indian forces and lead them to victory. Captain Beaujeu did not wear his uniform to give a visual statement of his confidence and trust to his Indian allies. Two of the Indian allies are shown in the photo too. While one of them wants to attend to his wounded comrade, his attention gets drawn to the fate of their leader.
Following are 4 photos of this event.
Hope you like them.
Happy Collecting!

Great scene. :)Now I know what Indian figures I want to go with my Beaujeu set. John Jenkins has told me that this set is one of his top favorites. What did you use for the ground cover? Looks like real leaves and works well with John's bases.

Hi Konrad.
Thank you for the kind comments.
At the risk of being boring by repeating myself yet again, I really can feel myself getting sucked into FIW. I can't see me getting as involved as I am with K&C UK's Crimean series, but I do reckon I'll be getting at least some of these nice FIW figures.

Cheers

Your display looks great. Yes we need more French and some woodland Indians. Those boxes are different than the one's we get here in the United States. Yours are square and ours rectangular. Keep us up to date with more pictures.

Randy

Thanks Randy. About the boxes, all of the boxes in sight were bought from the USA, the five in front were bought from the UK. There is another figure coming from our wonderful hosts, Treefrog Treasures, and I also bought the Frenchman from Treefrog. Great service and prices competitive with the European ones. Back to boxes, maybe it's just because of the photo angle or something. Are they really different?

Best wishes,
Paulo

That's a fine looking shelf, Paulo.
Do you have the new FIW releases on you "wanted" list?
The mounted 1st Foot Guards Officer looks like a splendid piece.
I do believe that Ken mentioned before that Woodland Indians are also included in future releases.
Thanks for showing and Happy Collecting!
Konrad

Viriato: Nice picture of the new Britain figures. I thought the boxes looked different until I realized I was looking at the box ends. I received 10 more of this series yesterday. I noticed the prices for us are up $2.00 per figure. Leadmen
