I'm after a camera for taking pics of dioramas only, so don't wanna spend a fortune, ease of use etc so would appreciate any advice as when I look for cameras there are 100s of them out there and I no nudda about cameras thanks

For what it is worth I found the camera in my phone ideal for taking pics of dios, for ease of use and interfacing with a PC etc. Takes great pictures. Once I have uploaded the pics to my PC I use a free editing app 'Picasa 3'....there's the link https://picasa.en.uptodown.com/windows/download. With this you can edit, crop, add tints and affects and much more.
Give your phone ago mate.

I used a dslr for years. I was an amateur photographer and have a Nikon with 5 lenses and flashes. Since getting my iPhone X, it’s all I use to photograph toy soldiers! Technology is amazing! It’s only limitation is if you’re looking for really close up pictures, but you can always snap it and crop to the one section you want.

Wayne, next time you are in Freo, I can show you my camera and you can see the results on my dioramas,

Happy New Year,

I echo what others have said about the iPhone. I hear that the Google phone is also top notch.

I have a Nikon DSLR but rarely use it, 99% of my photos are taken with my Samsung Galaxy 9 Plus Smart Phone that I always have with me, picture quality is excellent.

I have a Nikon D750 which is a heck of good camera and unfortunately the Iphone takes almost the same quality pictures as far as toy soldiers go.
It's almost sickening how close they are.
