so I made on for my Indian's Canoes...

I left a little pathway on both sides so I could place figures...I put enough shrubs to hide their bases...I originally designed it for only one canoe...but it seems long enough for three canoes...since it's a timeless landscape scene...I guess I could you it for any series I own...

It measures 26"x10" and turned out really nice...I framed it in baseboard and stained it...took the whaleboat backdrop to the printer and they made me a copy...this was an easy project that only took a couple of days...

thank you Ken...thank you Marcus...

Marcus...I get most of them off the Internet...just by "Googling" whatever I want...

for example: "snowy trees"...or "forrest tree line"...or "icey river"...under the "Images tab"...

you can find 1,000's of images there...

then I download them and print them out on my computer on heavy stock Kodak Print Paper...

this particular one...was a poster I bought at a craft store...

it was a large poster size and I cut out a 27"x 18" section...I use the original on my "Whaleboat diorama"...

I found a print shop that will scan and print it on heavy stock paper for about $10 for the duplicates...

I will probably try to sell the entire thing (pic and dio) at the next "Texas Show"...every "river diorama" I have taken to that show I have sold...

Michael lad, you have certainly been busy these past two days . . . . Another feast for the eyes . . . . great series of photos . . .
:smile2: Mike

Michael

That is stunning.{bravo}}

I wish I had your skills at building sets and scenics. I'm all thumbs in that department.

Really nice dio Mike, I am sure will be many ready to buy it.
The canoe sets are among the best of Jenkins production, sine a long time I wait for a long canoe with a couple of French (or British) Officers and Indian or Canadian paddlers, I'm certain it will please many FIW fans.

Great dio yet again Mike. I really like how you 'do' the water, It looks like it is water....it has depth.

Mike,

Hi Mike,

Chance upon your beautiful diorama, is the backdrop handpainted by you and how long is the entire diorama, it is such an impressive display

personal thanks to Mike...Randy...Carlo...Pete...Mark and Phoong...

Randy...you would be surprised what you could do...and it's very easy to do too...

Carlo...he does make the best canoe bar none...in my opinion...

Phoong...the entire diorama is 26"s wide x 10"'s deep...and no...I did not paint the backdrop...it is a poster I found at an arts and crafts store in the US...I can send you a high resolution file of it...if you PM me with your email...

Mike,

LEMAX makes a sky background for it's Christmas village stuff. It's 4 feet long without the Grand Tetons in the background. :wink2:
