Carlo Terrinoni sent me some pictures today...as always...his work is superb...

this is a new trench he has made for an artillery battery defense set up with some:

John Jenkins...Siege of Quebec...Battle of the Plains of Abraham 1759 figures...

John Jenkins...Battle of Monongahela 1755 artillery crew figures...

and perhaps a couple of Frontline FIW artillery crew figures...

this battery looks like it would be versatile for several periods of war and is another Terrinoni masterpiece...

I love his smoke effects and the detail he has created...

Very nice work indeed. The attention to the small details is what makes this work. Now for the first of my questions.

How is the earth between the gun embrassures made?

---- Painted and sculpted extruded foam?

------ Poured Plaster or Hydrocal?

------ Modeling clay sculpture?

Ken...he did not elaborate...but notice the top picture...bottom right hand corner...there appears to be just a spot of green foam showing in the brown paint...I would guess it is made of foam...but only the Shadow knows...it is a really nice structure...Carlo does precise work...

I love the artillery guy in the farthest battery station leaning over and pointing to a target...that's a cool figure...I need some of those for 1814...

these pictures really show the precise and exact work that he puts out...even if you're not a fan of the French Indian wars...you gotta to admire his methodical and meticulous work...this was obviously well thought out...this particular piece also would lend itself to several eras...

"I enclosed three pictures to show the work on the trench, the base is made of polystyrene, then I put the logs and the overall is covered of moulded clay (DAS). The wood spikes are of clay and are setting in the clay/polystyrene cover before the drying. I paint the single parts step by step as the job proceeds".

Very nice diorama, thanks for posting! What figure sets are the artillery crew from? I can identify BA-01, but can't place some of them. Different manufacturer mixed in?

you're right on the BA's...the lions share is JJD QB's...drummer, flag bearer, line shooting and officer...there is at least one Frontline artillery member in there (green base)...
