Hi guys I thought you might be interested in seeing a new Warbird shortly due to make an appearance. Figures courtesy of JJD, mat, accessories and aircraft model is from yours truly.

Nice plane and plenty of potential future options for other markings. RAF version would be good, sitting one next to Sunderland Flying Boat would be impressive. Both are brilliant but i still have a 'soft spot' for the Walrus .

In WW2 these aircraft, the RAAF (under the banner of QANTAS) used to fly from Perth, taking off from river at Crawley, and flew across the Indian Ocean to Ceylon taking mail, dispatches and important passengers on a 27 to 33 hour flight. Departure timed so that the flight crossed Japanese occupied territory during darkness, the crews would observe the sunrise twice, which led to the service being known as "The Double Sunrise"! The planes were stripped of heavy items such as guns, armour plating, then had added fuel tanks to complete the journey.

I thought the Boeing 747 was “The Queen of the Skies”?

Maybe one of the experts on aircraft can clear this up?

Where is Beaufighter when you need him????
