I'm curious and asking for the obvious if there is anybody known through this forum who possess a Cathay Pacific set as such?

Hi Mark,
They do exist, just a rarer promo set much like Les Mis. There is usually a buyer for these sets, you are missing the airplane it goes with. You and Louis should strike up a trade, he has the airplane, you have the figures!

As to who else owns these, I don't know, but i have seen I think about 4 or 5 at auction in the last few years.

Good luck
Tom

Tom, thanks for the reply!

Louis was considerate and did offer me the plane...though I really want smaller scale items for display, even though my original plan was large scale. I have come to realize that large scale displays aren't for me! Anyhow, I have never seen another CP, nor does one appear in the K&C Book...though I have only been collecting 3 years! I would still like to know if any fellow collectors here on TF possess one?

Mark,
its a nice set but b/c it is so oddball, IMO, really need the plane. That said, to each his own, what you like is what you like, but my opinion, the plane is really the centerpiece, it is just as unique.

I obtained the Matte finish post office set that K&C did for the Hong Kong Post, it is quite an oddball too.

Tom,

I understand what your saying, the two go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly...for me though I don't mind as I enjoy collecting rare pieces. Having planes in my future display is what I'm really wanting to avoid. Could you please provide a picture of this Post Office set you mention?

Thanks!

Do you have a picture HK Post Office set??

The Post office set I don' thave photos of, would have to dig it out to photo, give me a bit. Anyhow, it was a matte promo set done for the Hong Kong Post. I liked it, fits well with modern Hong Kong street scene. It was a unique one off set, which fits my promo collection well.

Does anyone have an image of the Cathay Pacific plane?
