Does anyone know of them and if they show their collections on the internet? I know that Malcolm Forbes was one and also heard Robin Williams was a collector, not positive about him though.

Williams is a collector along with some others. Mike Meyers like Britains Deetail and green army guys.

Many want privacy and don't want to let the public see that far into their homes.

This has come up from time to time, so you'll find more extensive info in the forum than what I can post here, off the top of my head, but Michael York is a collector. Douglas Fairbanks, Jr, was a toy soldier collector. Winston Churchill was, of course, and aren't some of his on display at Blenhem Palace, or somewhere else? I don't recall more specific details.

Have to think about other examples...

Prost!

Charlton Heston used to buy figures at Tradition whenever he was in London. Trooper

Peter Cushing - the Dracula slayer, ( "How would you like your Stake") was a collector and painter. johnnybach

A British singer who I can't remember his name is a big Alamo collector.I believe he owns a museum in Texas, probably wrong on that.

Mark,
You are talking about Phil Collins (hopefully you have heard of Genesis{sm4}). I can't remember the name of the movie but I am sure he starred in a movie that featured toy soldiers. I just looked him up and perhaps the movie was Frauds. Anybody seen it more recently than me ?

Another well known one is Peter Jackson the Director.

Regards
Brett

Some others off-hand are Rod Stewart, Dan Aykroyd, Steven Spielberg and Bruce Springteen although I don't know how serious they are in the hobby. The late John Entwistle of the rock band "The Who" was a collector too.

What about

King George Tupou V of TONGA.

His hobbies are said to include computer games, toy soldiers and sailing motorised boats in his swimming pool.

So a right royal collector..... ^&grin
