A friend and client asked me what I could do with his civil collection of 75+ Britain's, K&C, Conte and other manufactures. He's always loved the movie Gettysburg, and particularly the part where Col Chamberlain led the 20th Maine in a bayonet charge down the hill called Little Round Top into the rebs who were themselves charging up the hill, saving the union left flank and perhaps the war. For consistence of uniforms, I wound up repainting and detailing all the figures plus a dozen castings of dead and wounded (manufactures make very few of them) for the scene. I also used the great Hudson & Allen woodland background to wrap the diorama with and add depth. The diorama, which is 19 x 19 x 14" high will fit into a custom maple wood shadow box 20" square made by my son, which will have lights and the battle sounds from the movie on a remote when you look through the picture frame "window" at the battle. There is 80+ figures on the diorama

Wow-quiet an authentic scene as realistic as watching the movie. Lights & sounds from the battle are over the top. The woods & scenery look as if you are in the midst of the battle on Little Round Top, 2 July, 1863!:salute::

Very well done. you've really caught the moment of the counter charge. Very professional diorama.
