Charge of the Light Brigade (1 Viewer)

Bob,

Those figures are magnificent! I do not know if I can afford to collect them, but they are certainly very tempting!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Thanks Guy's
The response and pre orders have been outstanding to the range and the first offering even though production figures will not start going out to customers around late May early June.
Tony and myself were with Andy yesterday working through the next offering of the collection which we will reveal later in the year.

Warm regards
Bob

Any possiblity of this line being offered by a US dealer, it looks awesome, but it's really pricey with the dollar/pound exchange rate being so crappy right now.:(

Fred

I believe that's in the works.

That's good news Brad. The current exchange rate is horrible and that series really looks interesting, might even be good enough to get me out of my WWII-only rut.:)

Fred

The Hong Kong office told me the Charge of the Light Brigade series was exclusive to K&C UK. From previous posts by the Nevilles and Andy, it appears K&C UK have paid for much of the production costs. I do not think the Nevilles want a repeat of the British Sherman situation, in which a product that was supposed to be exclusive to them was distributed to U.S. dealers, leaving them with unsold stock to this day.:)

Guys

Tony here still in HK on Bobs login (he's gone to work whilst i pack) then i am off to get some HK bargains before heading home tonight........never know you may see watches and handbags on our site............:D Joke

I will try and make it clear.

Crimean situation.......

We (Neville's) have paid for ALLdesign and development of the range, therefore the Nevilles own it.

Andy and K&C are 100%behind the manafacturing and are surpporting us throughout the process (as i say Andy is great at taking the pictures i have in my head.

I (Tony Nev) am generally guilty for the look and choice of models with Mike and Bob agreeing or telling me to calm down. Andy then helps me bring them to life as a model.

The Crimean is a true EXCLUSIVE to K&C UK

There will be an intial run of 500 of each model although these are not classified as limited editions as if interest is there we can order more (intial order is 500). We are planning limited edition runs as mini vignettes (2-3figures) in 2008 maybe 2009

We are making available to ALL K&C dealers the range, HOWEVER!! we are not marketing it to trade. We are however very concious that all Dealers have their own customers and as such we would like other dealers to help service their customers. At presant we have had most of the larger dealers in the world contact us and we have sent out our trade terms. We are however as you can imagine expecting, as is the case at the moment the majority of orders to come though K&C UK. K&C HK and the store in Pacific place will NOT be stocking the range all K&C HK enquiries will be directed to K&CUK.

All Customers that register on our site will get the price for their country, ie with or without VAT. Shipping is also stated at time of order, i would say it is worth having a look at the moment on our site for shipping!!?
Pre orders can be done by Phone, fax, post, e-mail or on the site. Please note that we cannot stop our site taking your money for preorders (worth calling or other method if you want to preorder without paying but get the offer we have on) Pre orders will include any shipping offers that we have on at the time!

Sorry about the pound to doller rate but hey ho about time the Brits had some buying power in our favour!!

Steven is right about the Sherman situation th extra 200 for the world did slow the sales down......however we are now not holding on to a mass of shermans!! they are moving at a rate of 3 - 5 a week and we only have a couple of months supply left at that rate.

Sat on the roof terrace of Bob's beach apartment in the sun (cool weather but not freezing and snowing as is in Durham UK last night) i have the Charge first run painted production masters here and they amazing the paint detail is the best i have seen! in this bright sunshine (have i told you its sunny) the features and detailing is amazing.

Cannot wait to show the rest of the team in the UK they will be at London in March. Already have a Diorama in mind.
I have also confirmed that K&C UK will be in Chicago this year showing the Crimean range the plan is to have the masters of the December releases and the current June '07. So Chicago get to see the December releases and london get to see the June releases that is the plan going forward.
We will also be bringing some old K&C (which i suspect will sell before the show and details on all our future London shows.

Hope that is clear on everything ( i have confused myself!!)

all the best

regards

Tony Neville

Thanks for the PM, Tony. I appreciate the advice and will do. Have a safe trip home and best of luck with the Light Brigade. Oh, and please tell Andy "happy birthday" and keep the good stuff coming!:)

Fred

Tony, if you've confused yourself, you may have done that to some of us. However, if I get the gist, you're making 500 of each, at least initially, and you will be selling it to US dealers for sales to their customers although not marketing it to trade (which I have no idea at all what that means, being a simple country lawyer :) ). What is not yet clear is what are the prices that dealers in the US will charge their customers nor what is the price that you will be offering for these.

I would appreciate your clarifying that. I'm mindful that if you register on the site, you'll get the terms for your country. However, as most K & C customers are in the US or represent a big chunk of the total, it probably makes sense to list those prices here and what the shipping costs to the US will be.

We at Treefrog are planning to pick up some of these figures to make them available - but at this point no pricing has been decided upon. With the conversion rates, they will be quite a bit more pricey than the standard K&C figures.

I have just placed my order with K&C UK for all the forthcoming Charge of the light Brigade sets.So before the wife finds out i would just like to take this oppurtunity to say how wonderful its being knowing you all and thank you for all the help and advice!
