Charge of the Light Brigade (1 Viewer)

Hey as its Mike,Tony and Bob of K&C UK 's fault for coming up with Charge of the Light Brigade,do you think they might pay for my funeral!!!

Rob

Into the Valley of Death rode......Rob, his wallet, his credit card, his retirement fund, his jar full of pennies and all his hopes and dreams.......:(

Alas poor Rob, we hardly knew yee. ;)

If by funeral you mean stuffed in an old K&C carton weighed down with stones and thrown in the Thames, I think the Nevilles could accomadate you:D

Fred.

LOL Fred!

Thats about all i can expect i think, whatever happened to the buyer/seller relationship!.

Two days ago i only collected WW2 all of a sudden i've ordered 'Charge' and i'm going to buy the Napoleonic gun.I'm a lost soul.

But a happy one!!!

Cheers Fred

One of the compaines I represent in Congress sells body armor - you might extend your time on earth with these products. :D

Be glad to send a sample and make sure you dont acccept any invites from the wife to a Russian Tea Room

Ron

Thanks mate i'm sure gonna need it(only kidding shes very understanding really)

I must say Ron your job sounds really interesting,do you enjoy it?

Rob

I have just placed my order with K&C UK for all the forthcoming Charge of the light Brigade sets.So before the wife finds out i would just like to take this oppurtunity to say how wonderful its being knowing you all and thank you for all the help and advice!

Two hours until she gets home, can i repaint the whole house in two hours?

Rob
Hey Rob, good luck with explaining to the wife. I will also be undertaking this tricky task after recklessly placing my pre-order, but with the added complication of an unfavourable exchange rate on the Aussie dollar.

Unfortunately my wife has recently been taking Tae Kwan Do classes.

Adrian

Hi Adrian,Imagine preordering whilst the wife takes a martial arts class..!! We live a dangerous life us toy soldier collectors. And they say paragliding/rock climbing is risky.Hope you come through it ok.I think i might wait to nearer the time( late may/early june)before i break it to her.I think in all it worked out about £315.Perhaps if you wait to tell her for a while you might get a better exchange rate!.

All the best mate

Rob

Rob, congrats on your Light Brigade pre order, it's great that you can get in the ground floor of a new series. I bet it was that "free" Polo shirt that probably clinched the deal for you, who could possibly resist a Light Brigade shirt.:p

Fred

Hey Fred,i'm not sure i'll get the shirt becuase i may not have been in the first 200.But i got one at the show in London in December,so if i do get another i'll post it to you as a gift mate!As you say it will be nice to start a collection at the very beginning, which apart from 'The Bulge' will be my first. Must say the look of the first four sets and the whole vibe from K&C UK about this series is really exciting. And with just two releases a year should be a little more affordable.

Oh i just thought of another line i will be in on from the start
ARNHEM REVISITED 2007!!!!!!!

I know, not enough money!!!!.... need more....more....more....mouhahahaha!!!

ok sorry guys i lost it there for a moment!

Gents,

Anyone got any ideas what's going to be the next release in the Crimean series around December. I believe its going to follow the same COLB and should be compatible in the same display. Just bought my June sets, now only have to wait.

On a second thought, anyone noticed that there is going to be alot of "I wants" this year.

K&C - British Paras (More ruined buildings!! - hoping), AK Storch, Gestapo, Crusaders, plus probable more German troops. The new WWI range (VIP Car and troops) and the new ACW range will need a good look at, especially if they are compatible with the new Britains range. (1/32).

Rgds

Andy:)

I am currently in discussions with Uzbekistan on representing the Government here in Washington - maybe I can put you in the King & Country Relocation Buyers Program - this program has been designed to hide K&C collectors from their wives in effort to preserve their life.

How about a little place in Tashkent? :D

Andy and all other Crimean interedted collectors.

I have just returned from HK working with my brother and Andy on the next wave of figures. These will most probably be launched in Chicago (sept 07) for sale in December 07 at the London show.

We have added to the Charge, i will give you an idea but until we get well under way i still want to keep the development of these close to my chest.

there will be (for December)
a personality
4 more gunners (sold as singles)
and another 17th Lancer.

We had great fun posing in the HK office for what we are after, as i stated before we are after getting these all interacting together.

We envisage that the Charge will take us though to the end of 08 before we move on. We are planning a range of Strictly limiteds which will be made up of 3 or 4 figures in small Vingettes. For those of you that have NA87 will get the look we are after.

As i aalso said we will be moving into all areas of the Crimean

regards

Tony

Ron thats very kind of you,but i fear it might not be far enough!.Do you have any huts in the Burmese Jungle.

Tony, that all sounds excellant.Whats the prize if we guess what all the next releases are!!!!?.

Rob

I guess Sir Colin Campbell and the 93rd Highlanders in the Stand of the Thin Red Line.

WOOO WOOO WOOO :D

Nobody said that there is another prize!!!! Plus i reckon Louis gets inside info to easy!:)

December 07, June 08 and December 08 will all be following the Charge. December 08 will most probably be a collection of small Vignettes which will be SL. most probably based around the VC's but not wanting to copy the more traditional toy soldier route again!!

We will then move on to other parts of that day, ie, Charge of the Heavy, Thin redline etc. We then will be looking at all other areas as the years go by and if Andy has space in his own developments we may move production up to three a year around 2010 who knows.

Orders for the range coming in thick and fast, please remember you do not have to pay up front (automatically happens on the website sorry) for preorders make sure you register first and get a membership number before you do anything else!!!! on the K&C UK website.

regards

Tony

Tony,

With the December issues will the gunners have another cannon (maybe wrecked)?

Andy:)

I can't wait:) .........must get three jobs. .....who cares......:D ....at least I haven't weakened over the napoleonics.............yet:eek:

Come on Kevin weaken!,come join us as we charge at Napoleons men slashing to the left and right, lopping off heads arms and capturing French standards.

Sorry got carried away there!.Have just been reading about Sgt Ewart capturing the French Eagle at Waterloo.Great stuff
