Very nice!
I like that the horse reins are painted matt - They look much better than the gloss and wish they would do all ranges this way.

Great setup Simmo, another example of great figures from the leader in this industry and is that one of your mats Simmo?

Great looking setup and the start of a fantastic diorama of your grandfathers fighting those "terrible Turks".:D

Nice display! Those are great looking pieces! I wonder if this is the first time K&C has released 2 mounted flagbearers for the same troops at the same time? Maybe, it's another first for K&C! :)

This is the first collector display I have seen with these figures...what a superb job you have done with them!

Very Nice Display .. where did the mat come from ?

Any opportunity for K&C to release "more" mounted figures is always welcomed :) ... but, honestly & IMHO .. they could have, at least "swapped" the horse from a different pose :(.

Yes Wayne one of my mats .The desert mats are easy to do.Still not happy with the other ones but still working on them.Simmo.

Simmo,
Nice set up and very quick after you got home !. Nice ground work as usual.

Regarding the two flag bearers when Andy came down to Oz with the prototypes he had two flags but only one flagbearer figure. A suggestion was to include the two flags with one figure and customer could use which one preferred. When Andy was setting up display I remember he put the extra flag between the arms of the standing figure (AL06) and that did not look out of place. However given the choice between having 7 figures or 8 I would prefer the 8. Since horse colour and flag are different not too many even notice they are the same figure.
Also remember there are more horsemen coming in this series and some foot figures. I would guess that over time this will be the largest group of mounted figures, of same unit, K&C has done ( it better be :D) .
Regards
Brett

A very well put together display, thanks for sharing and well done.

Best wishes Mark

LOL that is the first thing I noticed. I thought perhaps they could have used a different horse.

Congratulations Simpson & His Donkey, you must be a very proud Australian with that fine collection paying homage to your gallant countrymen. Its nice to see all those figures pictured on this forum. I am impressed with their faces, they all have a unique character/pose and are very well sculpted/painted. I'm definitely going to have to add that flagbearer to my collection in the near future. Thanks for posting.

Great pictures Simmo,i have 6 of these great figures too ,wasnt too sure about the horsemen with the short bayonet but having seen them in your photo will certainly be adding them to the charge.Iam planning a large dio in the future as the range expands, the detail on these horsemen are brilliant and would recommend them to anyone and your pictures will encourage all of us to buy many more ,thanks for posting them, ken

Thank you for sharing the background .. though, having decided to go with both flags, I cannot imagine how much more difficult it would have been to "swap" with ano horse pose. I actually like the idea .. that K&C can increase their mounted range, by swapping riders, horses and doing them in different colors. Done over time, we can build a real serious cavalry chargeeee.

I am glad that there are more lighthorsemen commin .. but sorry, they will Not be the largest group of mounted figures of the same unit. :)

Haven't you heard ... Andy is releasing ano dozen of the Scots Grey :D :D :D
