I'd like to put in my two cents worth to Ken's question.
Re: Charles Biggs Premier Series
What sets would you like to see if there were any new additions to the Premier series? I agree that there were some gaps in poses to build scenes, but the range covered so many subjects it would be nice to hear what the collectors would like added to WWI Classic style gloss figures.

Whether they’re the Premier Line, Britains, or Charles Biggs, to me it’s all one so long as they are WWI glossy. I really like the German and British trench sets. At first I was disappointed that the figures were glued in place, but now I realise that having them like this has surely saved them from scraped elbows and knees. Also, the paint finish of the trenches in matt works well. I also like the German set of soldiers attacking the allies. With all of these figures I feel that Britains was at its best: the sculpting was excellent, the postures are pleasing to the eye, and the painting is as good as it gets.
What I have felt with the different sets is a lack of cohesion. Too many of the sets are individual pieces that cannot work together. The redcoat soldier with horse and wagon was surely not at the front, and so cannot be with my fellows in the trenches. So what I’d like are more individual soldiers (a set of five or six) in the trenches, maybe ready to attack with others already over the top. And maybe I’m dreaming but I’d love WWII glossy soldiers.
Finally, maybe what I need to do is figure out ebay because having looked at the photos some of you have posted, I've come to realise that there are many sets that I never saw. I might get them there. Maybe re-releases of some of Charles Biggs sets would be good too.
So there it, more WWI gloss figures like the ones in the photos I hope will appear, would be great. Cheers Russell
