I just watched the Chelsea Barca match today and what a match. Despite being down to 10 men on what I thought was a dubious call, Chelsea scored a killer goal before halftime and managed to hold on before Torres put his country mates out of their misery in added time. They paid a price though: three players in eligible for the Final.

Here's hoping for a Real win tomorrow.

Brad...

Could not quite believe what I was watching. Have to say though Terry again, let his team mates down and his excuse for the blatent knee was embarassing. I don't think they will win the CL with the loss of players they managed to lose.

Who would have bet their house on Messi scoring that penalty??

Mitch,

I couldn't believe it either. Until they scored that goal before halftime I figured they were toast. However, as the second half wore on and on, I and am sure many others, especially Chelsea supporters, said to myself "they may have a chance. "

This may be the best chance Real has had in years to win the title now that the specter of Barcelona is out of the way.

Real are for me the better team and I hope they do now go on to win. Barca play very nice footy but, sometimes just over play the ball the second half proved that.

Well, I just watched the whole bloody match and a terrible match and even worse result.

What I thought would be an all Spanish final now has neither :(:mad:{eek3}

You can never really call these sudden death winner takes all type cup matches.
I enjoyed both games.

certainly makes for an interesting final as both teams have a number of key players out through suspension I think BM will just win

Good call Mitch , It been good watching CFC in Europe this year with all there problems with the management and seeing Man Utd taking apart{sm0} over two legs

Chasbo...

Leeds fan!!!! Not likely. Newcastle (Toon) from birth.

Neil...

Was a shame seeing Man Utd taken apart by lesser teams (not) come on man city!!!
Mitch

Sorry Mitch, and Bayern did look pretty good. hope its a good final.
I've got a weak spot for the maggies too, but they always seem to have tough luck.

Talk about being taken apart by lesser teams - how did Newcastle get on yesterday against Wigan?

Jeff...

The form we are on and the way we have been playing we just did not show up (apart from a 10 minute spell) a nightmare and, Pardew railed the players. no way a team fighting for premiership survival should have beaten us this way but, then they also turned over Man Utd and have probably ruined their title chances so, as nobody expected the toon to do as well we are still in a great position and european footy beckons of which, I really don't mind what it is CL or Uefa

Well IMO Barcelona was simple tired, at this time of the year the players are just overwhelming, so they could not play as they used to, but this is futebol, the better not always win..

Concerning the Final, both teams play the same kind of soccer, (ugly style {sm3}{sm4}) but if I have to put money into I will go for Bayer for sure...^&confuse

Any Chelsea fans out there celebrating tonight?! Congrats to the Blues on winning the FA Cup.
