This is an open invitation to anyone. If you visit Figarti in China they give you a free gift customized just for you. Brad and his family did just that and Rick presented it during the lunchoen.

Wow, this is pretty cool, first time I've seen it.

When I was in Shanghai, Rick asked me if I had any preference as to how to make it different (camo, unit, etc.), I said I had no idea (not being as good as people like Terry or Frank when it came to those questions) and said just use your judgment.

It came out great. Talked to Shannon today and she's going to ship it later this week and can't wait to get it.

Thank you Rick and thank you Carlos for posting photos. Much appreciated.

Beautiful tank, Brad. Congratulations. Nice addition to the family.:D -- Al

Thanks Al, it's fantastic. Can't wait to get it. I don't have the other one but like this one better, and it only costs me a few thousand to get it :D

Congrats to Brad (ya lucky dawg). I'd love to try to get over there for a tour-what an experience it must be. But heck, I'd like to just get to Chicago for the show at this point.

Very-very cool!:cool: I like the paint scheme much better than the production version.

Probably the most expensive AFV any collector has

I think it was a terrific gesture brad and alot of people at the luncheon thought it was great that figarti would show there appreciation that way

I completely agree Louis; the paint scheme is something else. It’s a fantastic piece and a fantastic gesture by the Figarti Team. I wonder how they would cope if they had a “gaggle” of froggers turn up at the factory at once…hope the team has some cold beer in the fridge. Alby

Cold beer already in the fridge, not a problem!

Alby mate,
How about we put a junket of Aussies together and go up and visit Rick. It sounds like he has a Fridge full of that nice Tsingtao Beer. I could see you getting an Abrams in Aussie camo colours.
Cheers Howard:cool::cool:

As they say at home Thats a Wicked Tank!

Really cool gift and I am sure it was a really interesting visit to the factory. Would love to hear more about what you saw Brad. Not so much on vehicles sets but on the process of casting etc.

Howard,

Works for me, it would be great to get a few of the lads over there, on tour. We could possibly pop into HK on the way, take (not sponsor) Brett as our guide. Rick has been pretty upfront that the fridge is full. Although I am not sure if the Figarti team really appreciates the potential impact (or threat) that the boys from “down under” may pose.

A visit would prove a wonderful test of Figarti’s broader security procedures (I am sure after such a visit, there would be an internal review). It would also prove a wonderful opportunity to test (stress) their logistical system (their ability to maintain suitable beer stocks & resupply of the fridge for example).

I am sure after such a visit, Rick would be most polite & publically hail the success of the visit, across the forum, but would note that future visits will be restricted to one Australian at a time. I think, I read in earlier post that Figarti would consider sponsoring the team back to the pertinent Chicago show to receive their gift, they are most generous folk!!! :D:D

Congratulations, Brad. This is a wonderful gift and a great gesture by Rick and his team.

Thanks. Rick has always been a classy individual. At the 2008 Chicago Show after he introduced the Monty Grant, he lowered the price to collectors, saying he wanted to give collectors a break. He did the same thing this year, trying to make sure that more than just a few collectors could afford the shock and awe items.

He also went out of his way to have us come out to the Factory in July, sending his driver to pick us up and then take us out to lunch. He's a wonderful person and one I'm glad I've gotten to know a little bit.
