page 11...

this was a wicked cool piece...

it actually lights up...

combined effort of William Britain...Ken and Erica Osen...Hudson & Allen...

From all the dioramas at the show, and there were some good ones. The Britains 88 pictured above I thought was the best.

The dinner figure was a early First Legion figure of a Afrika Korp tank man holding a water cup and canteen. The figure was not like the current figures. It has a regular brown base like a Britains and is 1/32 scale. I will post a pic when I sort the figures. John

Thanks John.

Thanks Mike for the great photography coverage of the show. Too many others must have been buying too much to snap pic's..:) Not seeing it in person I'm hoping the Britain's 88 will be as good as most have reported. Sounds like it was another great show. Did George G get the Brink's armored car loaded for the trip back to Boston?

Mike, you did a terrific job clicking the show! I also enjoyed a lot the pictures of the celebrities you posted in the other thread! It is the closest thing from being there, and it allows us to have a feeling of how fun it was! Thanks for sharing it all with us! My first show was last year and I really am upset for not being able to return this year. Hope to make it there next year and being able to meet you in case you`ll also go.

Mike and everyone else who took pics thank you very much.Sometimes I get a little bored or feel things are a little stale then these shows come up and with pics of all the wonderful items reinvigorate me.The dealers and manufacturers should really thank the picture takers as probably their sales go up after one of these shows.

Thanks for taking and posting your photos, Mike! Of the display and of your "Rogues' Gallery" of people, too ;)

Prost!

I may be wrong as I did not attend...

but I believe the dinner was hosted by Treefrog...

and as Matt from First Legion was the guest speaker...

I would assume it might be one of his figures...

again...

not sure...

so perhaps someone in the know would expand on this or correct me...

The Dinner Speaker this year was Matt Pavone from First Legion and it was a First Legion DAK Tank Crew figure this year. I do not have a photo readily available at the moment . . . I need a few more days (or weeks!) to get re-organized and sorted out!

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

What figure is the girl with the 'Bread Basket' in the Pike & Musket scene (Page 6) ?

Thank you

I asked Andy about the girl with the bread basket, and it's a future release in the Pike & Musket line.
It was my understanding that other civilians might follow.
Cheers!

I hope Mike doesn't mind if I add to this thread. The following figure, which represents Juan II of Spain, was purchased from Medallion Miniatures. Medallion always has exquisite figures. However, they do not permit photos of the figures in their room. There was a fantastic Hungarian figure of a death's head battalion that I was contemplating but by the time I made up my mind, someone had purchased it. There was also a beautiful Mughal warrior but I settled on this figure as I lived in Spain.

Thanks to all for the pics for those of us who can't be there in person. The show looked like a lot of fun with lots of great product on display. ^&cool

Wayne...

yes...they are foam...

very good size too...

will look really good with a nice paint job...

I believe they were made originally distributed and or made by Matt and Hobby Bunker...

but I may be wrong...

they were really cheap at $25 each...

will make a great backdrop piece...

Mike, I have a few of these Foam Painted buildings myself from HB and they work quite well for the price !

Brad,
Is that the company owned by Judy and Glenn from Florida? They are super nice people, she's an attorney, he's a dentist, they are a lot of fun, I used to be across the aisle from them downstairs on Sunday until I got moved to that prime real estate spot I now occupy.

One year, they wanted to borrow my "Please do not touch" signs as they stuff was getting manhandled................

Nothing makes we want to pick up a figure more than your 'do not touch' signs :)
