Pulled back from the house to house fighting in Hue by a few blocks to be reinforced, these Marines are lucky, not only have they gotten resupplied with C Rations, but the Sun has come out from behind the clouds for a few minutes for them to enjoy them !

Nice shots, Steve, and l love the building in the background. I think Andy is doing fantastic work with the Vietnam series.

Cheers Mark :salute::

Building is 3D print that I painted and added some period ads to, that I'd scoured the internet for, wanting pictures of Western products of that era that were still remembered to many of us, as easier to verify their era of use, rather than Vietnamese ones and then I reduced them to scale.
What I found interesting doing this was how I had expected the ads to be dominated by US products, many recognisable by style to anyone above a certain age in the UK and found there were many of French origin, maybe not so surprising, given Frances history there, but other European products too.
All that almost makes me a rivet counter ! ^&grin
P.S.
Yes the Mad Magazine with the Uncle Sam cover would of been impossible to have been seen during Tet as didn't appear until 1969.

Outstanding scene as always--love the addition of Mad Magazine !

The ‘at rest’ are often the best and this fits that category Steve. Robin.

Great job once again Steve!! Love the scene and the all the little details you added.

Nice Steve. I see you already have some of the new figures.

Great work Steve! Love the figurines at rest against a super backdrop.

Agreed Robin, non combat poses often lend themselves to many different scenarios.

Thanks very much Mark :salute::

Yes little extras can add a lot to a scene and in themselves be interesting.

Nice Steve. I see you already have some of the new figures.

Thanks Duke :salute::

Yes the new figures were with me in four days from ordering to delivery and already had a little scene for them to fit into, worked out in my head.

Great work Steve! Love the figurines at rest against a super backdrop.

Cheers,
Grey

Thanks Grey :salute::

Yes there's getting to be a lot more choice with diorama items now than there used to be, what with 3D prints and the great looking stuff Last Post produce in your neck of the woods, "Australia" !

Very good mate.

Thanks matey and enjoying your new scale scenarios too !:salute::
