Hi Guys,

By the time you read this some of you may already be in possession of December 2012’s issue of “COLLECTOR”.

This 32-page “Special” is, I believe, the second largest edition of our little “Quarterly Look at Our World in Miniature”. It’s jam-packed full of features on new releases plus a look back at our old Hong Kong shop and a look forward into our new one in Pacific Place… there’s a fairly strong “aviation” feel as well with stories on leading German ace Werner Molders and one other lesser known Luftwaffe pilot who successfully escaped from Allied hands and made it all the way back to Germany via the ‘States, Mexico, Brazil and finally Spain!

Old K&C friends like Chris Munro of the Soldier Gallery in Cambria California and noted collector Louis Badolato and photographer Kevin Elliott also have their handwork displayed in this Christmas “COLLECTOR”.

There’s a whole lot more but I’ll let you discover that for yourselves.

In the meantime… back to the salt-mines and putting the fairy on top of the Christmas tree!

Best Yuletide Wishes and, of course, Happy Collecting…
Andy C.

Looks another good one with some great articles. A merry Christmas Andy and thanks for posting.

Very nice Andy, thanks for posting some of the photos and my best wishes to you, Helen, everyone at K & C and their respective families this holiday season.

Speaking of airplanes, I was wondering what your plans are for the wooden ones in 2012.

Best,

Brad

Best Collector cover so far. Good to look around and see who is chatting with who.

Is that Patton talking to Monty (or the Nutty General) ? Anybody recognise the saluting figure behind Monty ?

I think Breslau is going to be happy with pages 19-20.

Regards
Brett

Thanks for sharing this Andy. Looks like another must have collectors quarterly. That ME-109 is VERY APPEALING. ! :wink2:

Did I miss something or those are new and yet unkwon Kriegsmarine LAH figures?

....................I think Breslau is going to be happy with pages 19-20.

Brett

Brett - happy is an understatement, about 18 months in the making but worth the wait!

Thank you Andy for again depicting a most under-appreciated military entity. Die deutsche Kriegsmarine ist einfach das beste.

No I can't quite recognise him Brett. I see a Kriegsmarine officer talking to a Johnny Reb, the South could have done with the German Navy couldn't they!

Merry Christmas

Rob

Hello Andy and KC....Thanks for the Preview of the new Collector, Looks really great. Especially like the Battle of Britain page with the Control Tower!!, I made something like this a couple of years ago but with just 2 levels, made a few changes a while back but now the Diorama is finished...Must post pics someday. I just wonder how did that WAF climb up to the top floor??....Like to be there when she climbs down again!!!!.

Happy New Year to all

Steve

Does anyone know if those new marching Kriegsmarine band will be in January's dispatches?

How do you get a copy of this December 2012 issue of the Collector...did Andy mean December 2011???
N-P

Read the full Collector today. Good cross section of items and stories.

Some other items not seen before.

A mounted French Knight (IMHO best mounted Knight so far - he also appears in the calender), a mounted Templar and a walking Sergeant at Arms. Also the special Joan of Arc figure from Toy Soldier Paris.

NE11 Mounted French Infantry, NE13 Laughing French Drummer boy, NE16 Standing Napoleon, NE17 French Officer

and DD163 Dingo in Europe

Some good pics of the new shop although the date Established on the sign indicates Andy must be nearly 300 years old{sm4}. I don't think 1745 would be a good year for a Scot to set up a business called King & Country.

This might help Rob when he starts his January Despatches thread:).
