Hope everybody had a good and safe Christmas Day.

Thought I would start a thread on presents received good, bad, weird, inappropriate etc.

So here is my selection for this year.

My daughter giving my son a pretty substantial first aid kit on the day he is flying out for a skiing trip. His response was that he was covered by insurance. Seems more appropriate for a camping trip she is planning so perhaps just a cunning plan to borrow it.

My better half was very excited to become the owner of a IPhone 5 meaning she is no longer using her daughters hand me up which had problems being heard or even sending a text ( 2 problems I have but with me probably not technical issues).

9 pairs of socks for me this year {sm2}. I think it is a personal record after doing so well in not getting socks in previous years.

However most inappropriate present a family member received was my step son's gift from his boss of 15 years. Step son is Muslim by marriage and his boss has met his wife. No way he does not know they are Muslim. So he decides to give them a cooked ham for Christmas. Step son most unimpressed.

My Dad got a very slightly used Zulu movie book{sm4}

Well enough of the chit chat as some Boxing Day Sale action planned followed by The Hobbit or The Water Diviner.

Found a nicely Chritmas wrapped Zulu book present under the tree and an interesting book at that, from a someone in the Sunshine state. The only draw back I think I have to pay for my own present{eek3}, now that's bad. Catch you soon Brett for a chin wag. Robin.

Received three Treefrog Treasures gift certificates, one each from my three children and their spouses. Each gift certificate is for $100 . . . . . Now I am really looking forward to the next JJD WWI releases . . . . .
:smile2: Mike

I am really looking forward to JJD getting back on track with new releases and shipment schedules, been a bit sparse over this period. The WW1 are a real hit with a lot of collectors. Robin.

Gents,

I know this sounds crazy but I got two BIG *** Fans from BIG *** Solutions. One is 84" and the other is the Haiku made out of bamboo. Also got one of the lights with the magnifying glass for model work.
