While many came to Rusty Spoons (pop. 40) for the silver in the surrounding hills, a number of trailhands rode in with canvas covered chuck wagons from cattle drives. Lucky for the hungry cowpokes, Cookie would always keep them well fed. A "Good Cup of Coffee" and a trail song made the beans taste even better.

I really like this one Rob. It's almost as if you read my mind, because I ordered the K&C Chuck Wagon yesterday and should be here by Friday. Your display makes me more anxious for it to get to my doorstep. I also have the same cast of characters on my want list and it's just a matter of time before I collect those too. Once again, nicely done and thank you for posting this.

Hi Mike,

I know I've said this before, but I don't think you'll be disappointed. K&C's Cattle Co. Chuck Wagon is truly a beautiful piece. Outstanding design, variety of accessories, and excellent box/packaging, I would buy again in a heartbeat. I really hope Andy continues expanding the Real West/Cattle Drive theme with accessories to add to the already impressive figures.

My "Coffee Table Western Town" is starting to fill in nicely. ;)

I look forward to seeing your town established. You'll just need to name it. :D

Here's a few more picks while you're waiting for your Chuck Wagon:

Every one of them are superb photos of your Chuck wagon arrangements. All very creative. I will be displaying mine on a 36-inch long book shelf which I was able to recently clear to make room for newer interests. Half of the shelf is reserved for the Church Wagon display and the other half will be for a Remember The Alamo display.

Thanks Mike. I look forward to seeing your Alamo and Wild West shelf.

Thanks much, Paul.

Agree wholeheartedly Rob, the cattle drive series is great. So iconic in many ways depicting the Wild West. The obituary cactus, camp fire and chuck wagon all tell the story. Excellent work. Robin.
Thanks Robin.

Here's one more shot as seen right outside Rusty Spoons:

Chris, is that the Collectors Showcase saloon in the upper right hand corner of the photo? I discovered it two days ago and thought about putting it on my want list. If it is, what is your overall opinion of it?

Rob, my apologies. I just noticed I addressed my question to "Chris"??? Instead of you as I meant too. I have no idea what I was thinking. 🤔

No prob, Mike. I've been called worse.
In regard to the CS saloon, it's just okay. Had some quality issues including misaligned holes for the railing.
