I had a bit of fun with these guys - you can feel the tension as the Parliamentarian troopers draw near.

I had a smudge on my camera lens so I will have to redo the shots of the troopers in action.

Who makes these English Civil War figures? They look spectacular! Nice expressive figures! Are they plastic, resin, metal? Are some of these conversions? They look relatively, uncomplicated to paint. I would like to try my hand on painting these! ^&grin

They were Monk's regiment of foot (for Parliament)during the ECW. On the restoration of the monarchy in 1660 they lowered their weapons as Monk's and raised them in service to the King as the Coldstream Guards. Although Monk's was raised before the Grenadier Guards, they weren't a guards regiment which to this day is a bone of contention between them. The Coldstream Guards may be the 2nd Regiment of Foot Guards but their motto is " Nulli Secundus" (Second to None) When parading as individuals, in line with members of other regiments, on the halt, they take one pace forward.

They are metal painted soidiers by Alexander Toy soldiers.
