The big CS item at the Westcoaster was the 88 (but it certainly wasn't limited to that!). Brian brought along a Normandy 88 and carriages w/ him (he didn't have samples of the winter 88 or prime movers for the show). I have to tell you guys, this 88 SMOKES! Lots of metal parts (like the shield for instance as well as the entire base), exquisite detail, and lots of moving yet durable parts. I like how the shield is removable. It snaps into place with a sturdy, touch sensitive pin. This is one well thought out piece of engineering w/ fine detail. For instance, I don't know if I captured it in the pics, but evidence of the attention paid to the design creation can be illustrated by the inclusion of two tiny pneumatic hoses beneath the gun controls; it's really a nice touch. Here are some pics of her along w/ a bunch of pics of other CS displays. I was equally impressed w/ CS's new Civil War figures, btw. The Union and Confederates are EXCELLENT. I'm really impressed w/ the sculpting, implied action and painting. Here are some pics....
Oh, and let's not forget the King Tiger...another nice release. Again sorry if any of the pics are overexposed, blurry, etc...I'm just throwing these up as quick as I can w/out a close preview.
