The Tommy Gunn ad in the latest isse of Military History Monthly shows:
1. Zulu War - four figures including an officer with flag, a kneeling figure and two running, one in shirt sleeves, the other bare-headed
2. Two German WWI pilots, one standing, one sitting in a chair
3. Another version of the WWI armored car - this one in a camouflage scheme (Middle East?)

Sounds interesting! Can anybody get pictures of these?

Looks like TG may be entering the warbirds again. Should be interesting to see what they come up with after the FW 190
Mitch

I was hoping they would do some Zulu, the way TG works they look to fill in interesting poses that are missing in existing series. Start saving again,^&cool, cheers, Robin.

The Battle of Maiwand- Second Afghan War would've been my first choice, but you can never have too many Zulu War figures.
How about Breaker Morant and a troop of Bushveldt Carbineers and some Boers?

Amen. We need toy soldiers from other conflicts than the Zulu war, WWII and ACW.

The British infantry are 54 mm.

Thanks for posting these Wayne, I for one can find a home for those British. These will compliment my existing series nicely. Good on you Tom, TG continues to be a big player for me, cheers, Robin.

very nice and 54mm !!!! very interesting and will connect nicely with a lot of existing 54mm collections collectors already have.
guy:)

I'd like to see a closer image of the 24th Foot, as the helmet doesn't look right to me.

The brim seems to be angled up too high up, because what what I've seen of the real thing, the brim isn't that pronounced. It looks more like a WW1 solar topee?

I know I'm knocking these, but its only one image, and a first impression (sorry Tom)

Love the poses and the equipment and the air crew so maybe some WW1 A/C too?

John

With T Gunns history of packaging what are the odds that flagbearer will arrived undamaged? I would say slim to none!
Gary

Airmen look excellent and look very well painted. the sheepskin jacket looks great as does the facial features. IMO the best WWI airmen I have seen to date.

Gary, It looks like the flagpole can slip through the bearer's hand as in detached from the figure. If so. the flag can be laid flat on packing and have a very good chance of survival.

This stuff just isn't doing it for me. I guess the eye in this particular beholder is not seeing the beauty. Shame, because I really love the WW1 Germans.

Does desribing them as '54 mm' mean 'Britains compatible'?

Yep that's what I am thinking, normally I am looking for 60mm, but these should be spot on for the other brands Zulu series. Cheers, Robin.
