A great set up in its own right. Prefer this to the black and white one I have
Mitch

I have just given up saying I won't get this or that with Figarti I have become quite addicted to their stuff in the last few months
Mitch

Thanks for the photos...Is that the same color in each of the two rail mounted photos?...One looks a brighter green color and the other looks more a 'military' shade of olive green?..Also, that it was astride a gondola car from new train line...was it adapted so the rocket could securely ride it for the diorma..or was it a standard issue railcar from the new line? ..Thank you, again , for the responses.

Might be just the lighting in the room. Perhaps Rick can tell us about the mount for the V2 it may come with the rocket
Mitch

Yeah...I'm curious about the railway car the V-2 is on as well. I'd love to mount my current V2 on it...but I don't want to buy the gondola car now if a new one is going to come out that's especially made for it.

Rick, can you shed any light on thins?

I am still not clear on this particular v2...Does it come with a launch stand?..Any figures?....Is it just the rocket?...thanks in advance...paul

I think the rocket is seperate item. I think it was placed on the rail car for the show. I did not see a launch stand.

Hopefully, we will have one in the future.

I collect the V1 and V2 items and when I saw the new V2 rocket I asked Rick about it. He said they improved it over the other V2's.The tip and fins are made of steel, and their is no stand it is just the rocket and it was placed on the railcar for show.Their was a hoist displayed with it that maybe available later.I have the new V2 on my Christmas List....Ron

I see the new V2 is now available...NO Stand?...For those who order one, how will you display it?...Does the older Figarti offering of the launch pad work with this rocket?

To answer your question, yes it will . I looked at it closely today and it's better than the earlier releases. People are fast picking up the few, that are left, Figarti V-2, "Leveling the Launch Platform" Set to go with this new Green Version. I liked the better panel lines & rivet detail on this new version better and the fins are metal and with more detail as well.

Guys,
The gondola truck in the picture is the standard one.
When we were in Chicago we thought the V-2 would look good on a flatbed for presentation purposes. If you look closely you'll see we used a piece of packaging foam to support the front of the V-2.
So the V-2 comes without a specialised rail truck at this time. I'm not privy to whether this will be a future addition however!
Hope that helps.
Regards
Clive

Clive,
Is the packaging foam available as a special order? ;)

Simon/Brad
As you know in the art world it's all about interpretation,
so if a pile of bricks or a stuffed sheep can go for fortunes what price a piece of foam?
Signed?
My goodness the sky's the limit!;)

Clive
