I entered a competition in TSC a couple of months ago. While flicking through my recent copy I noticed my name was in the magazine as last months winner. I have emailed the magazine and they have told me my prize is on its way. I have never won anything before so this is quite neat !!!! Although this is not an area or company I collect I am excited to see them and then figure out where to display them.

Below is a picture of the set and I will take some pictures when I receive it and add them here.

Hi Scott,

Congratulations! I am very pleased you won the competition and I am even more pleased that the prize is a beautiful Beau Geste set of figures. Beau Geste is easily one of my most favored manufacturers and I have no doubt you will very favorably impressed with the quality of their figures.

Again, congratulations on winning the competition and receiving a wonderful prize! It is really exciting to unexpectedly add some terrific figures to your collection, especially at no significant cost to you!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Excellent Scott, well done;)

Scott,
That is just fab! I know that when I won the TF WB lady Petticoat , I was over the moon, but to win this set is out in the atmosphere! This will plant you firmly in the Glossy ranks for sure! What a nice way to start a day!
Congrats and waiting impatiently for pictures!:)
Beau Geste?!!!Wow!
Mike

There's no doubt Scott that your day's been made and I sure you feeling very much better and couldn't be happier for you.......The Lt.

You clever old sod! :D Well done I'm sure that will start you on a new manufacturer to collect. ;)

Thanks gents, yes it certainly did make my day and was quite the surprise looking down and seeing my name in print..........FAME AT LAST !!!! LOL

Hey, congratulations, Scot! That's a nice set, too. The closest I've gotten with either TSC or TS&MF is the free mousepad for writing to the editor.

Prost!
Brad

Congratulations, Scott,

That is one nice set. I agree with Mike you are now firmly entered into the ranks of the Glossy Collectors:)

Congrats Scott,

It's always nice to get something unexepectedly.

Figures received today at work. They are very nice although a little worse for wear :( I think they have been passed about a bit at the TSC office. Oh well can't look a gift horse I suppose. Pictures to follow tonight.

Well for you r viewing pleasure here is my win :D :D :D

I must admit this set has seen better days and I don't think that has anything directly to do with Beau Geste. This is the one and only set set I own that is not William Britains and will try and fit in in somewhere amongst my collection. The figures are very heavy and are nicely sculpted and painted. I feel they really do deserve more recognition.

Scott,
They look fine to me. What was the casualty count and what were the "injuries" ? And what is the unit, FFL? Many questions:)

Thanks Mike,

No injuries just a bit of paint loss here and there. Some around two of the horses hooves. One man has most of the paint missing from his boots on the one side. Little paint loss on the rifles. As you can see the rifles are a little drunk :D Yes it is the FFL circa 1900 set#239

All in all a great little set, chuffed to have won anything at all really. There is a companion set to this one which I may just have to add.
