Bruce,George said Merrill's Marauders & Jarheads in the works.I've got about 1000 Marines in 54+- mm.Metal/plastic.
Need some help on poses, uniforms, weapons, deuce gear?....semperrandyfi@gmail.com.
Need a Jap banging/arming his grenade by banging it on his helmet....Japs (vs.Marines) armed with'idiot sticks'.
Japs with magnetic AT mines, pole charges, satchel charges...they hated our tanks(envy?) enough.....

Take care Sir!

Yes both Martin and I served. I was a Royal Irish Ranger then a Territorial Royal Fusilier and Martin was a Life Guard.

I did your Mountain Warfare School in Vermont with the US Rangers.

Lads,That BAR is a tad large but rumour had it ,the smallest guy in the squad carried that puppy. Many gunners eschewed the carrying handle and bipod.
Will order your Japs through U.S. George as he readies himself with you.
Thank you both for wearing the uniform.

P.S. As an aside, the Jarheads in the PTO(RVN & Korea as well) carried 2 canteens.I would guess the doggies did the same.

One more time here(a thousand pardons)..in the bush, sleeves rolled up were only a way to put yourself out of the 'line'.
Elephant grass, mosquitoes, leeches(first 2 more problematic)would lead to itching ,cuts which would become infected.
The Marauders were never too close to an aide station....platoon medic would dress him down until fatigue kicked everyone's ***.
(then fatalism would kick in).
Enough already out of me.....Take care.

I have looked at a lot of photos and newsreel of the Marauders and that's fair comment. The set is being sculpted as present and as it happens we asked the sculptor to do the sleeves with just the cuff turned up. SO well spotted.

We have been increasing the sizing of our weapons on new ranges so that we are compatible with KC. This guy is a prototype using our Filipino torso and legs. So again good spot on that - he is a little guy. The finalised set will be bigger guys.

Good point on the two canteens. I assume you mean Dogfaces? Our Marines call us Pongos as they reckon we don't shower enough!!! My own regiment was known as Bogtrotters, and Martins as Donkey Whallopers!

Some Japanese will be crossing the pond in due course.

thanks Bruce

Bruce,Social intercourse is a 'spot on' conveyance in exchanging information/ideas especially pertaining to our'hobby'.
So, with that in tow, might you two 'hard chargers' take a walk on the 'wild side' and become the first Company
to produce a 5 man USMC WW2 37mm gun (and a snazzy Jeep to haul it around)? That AT gun was used through Okinawa.
1944 saw canister rounds issued to deal with Banzai charges...great to knock out flimsy Jap tanks and many MG positions
(albeit not the well-constructed'nasty'type).
Marines (and Japanese) with rifle grenades, satchel charges,ARMED Hospital Corpsmen,Armed Navy 'SeaBees',Engineers with
bangalore torpedoes,Iwo Jima Jarheads with hand-carried.30 Cal aircraft'Stingers".USMC dog handlers,pull-handle type hand carts.
Just random "wouldn't it be niceities".....carry on with a great day,Lads
