For those of you who do not receive the Rivet, Pete posted the following today:
Congratulations to both of them and I wish them much happiness!
Brad
As much as I like to plan things in life, I'm often led to unexpected places. I never expected, back when I was a fresh young Lutheran minister, to start a business with my wife, Shannon. I never expected that business to shift to toy soldiers back in 2001. I never expected that Treefrog Treasures would grow to become one of the premier toy soldier outlets in the world. I never expected that Shannon would develop ovarian cancer, battling it for over a decade while expanding Treefrog. I never expected her death a couple of years ago, leaving me to own Treefrog Treasures. I never expected that Richard Walker would be willing to come on board and share ownership with me.
Recently a new 'unexpected' entered my life. I never expected to get married again, but on June 3rd, Danielle and I said, "I do." Unlike Shannon, Danielle has no interest in running a toy soldier shop. She loves being a social worker (with heart/lung transplant patients) and tolerates this toy soldier craziness.
