Very impressive figure. I would quibble with the artist's decision to show the horse's mouth open under those circumstances, especially with the teeth exposed to that degree but that is a mistake common to many artists of equine subjects, especially those who do not specialize in such subjects. Not to be knit picky but while this figure is wonderfull the body type and physical nature of the figure is way off.
I really like a great many of the Russian figures but often wonder how accurate they are - especially the knights. Some of the heraldry and detailing to underlying fabrics seems so over the top compared to the Angus McBride studies I look at.
Just a thought, I have a few I've held onto over the years and absolutely love them.
