Conspiracy Theories: The Good, the Bad & the Ugly. (1 Viewer)

And the one about me being contracted by a certain toy soldier company to cause havoc with it's competitors posing as only a toy soldier collector and not a dealer. Now that has alittle bit of truth about it. Simmo.{bravo}}

You know the ones... the events that are constantly called into question such as the Moon landings and 9/11 as well as almost anything involving the CIA, the Vatican or MI5.

What about all those whose deaths (or supposed deaths) have caused much discussion over the years like Hitler, J.F.K., Elvis, Princess Diana, Tupac Shakur etc. ?

Which ones do find ridiculously cringeworthy? :redface2: :D

Having been at one time involved in the JFK thing,,besides the hundreds of persons involved ,witnesses-others etc who all died in a short time,,I enjoyed the findings that the "magic bullet" caused and survived seven impacts ,exits and whatever else,emerged pristine as a new round would be and was accepted by the "Authorities".Maybe another that as shown in the film,,Jfk violently moves to the rear as he is struck by a shot from the rear,,suspension of the laws of physics for once,,we learn that there are no conspiricies only great lessons,or groups of lone nuts working together.

Seinfeld's spoof of "JFK", in which the assassination is transformed into Kramer and Newman getting spat on by Keith Hernandez (or was it?) is one of the best scenes in any episode of that series.

Prost!

Conspiracies can seem much more viable after the fact. People can shoe horn into the actual events various scenarios that can't be completely disproved if you look at them only from that perspective. The JFK assassination is the classic example. Come up with a wild theory and then work backwards to connect the dots. However, when viewing the same events in real time looking forward these theories all fall to pieces. For example, all the theories about Oswald being framed. How would a conspirator know Oswald would not have been standing out on the street like everyone else or in the presence of someone at the time of the assassination? If he had been, then he would have been in the clear. They couldn't have known that in advance. Even if he was in on it but the conspirators arranged to hide him in a closet, with all the photographers - how would they ensure a second shooter on the grassy knoll wouldn't be captured on film? In the meantime there is a mountain of direct evidence that associates Oswald with the shooting. Most of that would have to be fabricated if another shooter was involved. Think of the complexities to do that and the knowledge of actual events beforehand that would be necessary to pull it off. Including recovery of the bullets.

There has just been a new doc on the History channel about JFK. Surprisingly, the only thing new was the programme itself!!!!!!

Oswald never was discounted as to not being involved,,his status as a Dallas FBI informant got in the way immediatly.The scene here in D is radically different then the impression given in the media,,the knoll,the fence etc are the last place any filming would have been done,,and as usual those who did observe that area at the moment passed away quickly.,No conspiricies only great lessons,,or as the 1978-79 House commission on the assassinations found in their results,Evidence of other involvement needed to be investigated,,Informant Oswalds employer the FBI has never taken any action.conspiracies are fun even if fictional and impossible like the group of lone nuts working together ,the white house plumbers,doing that silly watergate thing,,under the command of the lone Gordan Liddy.Just another isolated incident
