Conspiracy Theories (2 Viewers)

There is a long trail of bodies in the aftermath of the murder of John F Kennedy. Some are squarely in the realm of Coincidence Theorists. Like George de Mohrenschildt, who supposedly blew his own brains out in 1977 on the day the House Select Committee on Assassinations got in touch with him. Then there's Mary Meyer whose killer was never determined.

But then Coincidence Theories abound, with plenty of "credible" influential people to back them up. Perhaps because of the time lapse people can relax and go home because, ".... At this point what difference does it make."

One of many myths about the JFK assassination that simply isn't true. Besides the notion of death squads knocking off witnesses decades after the event long after they have told anything they knew simply makes no sense and adds more and more conspirators that have to be kept silent.

............I blame the illuminati, the dark web, Dan Brown and of course 'smoke and mirrors'........^&grin:tongue::wink2:

Literally while typing this response an email came through informing me that I have made it through to the second round of the grant applications!! Perhaps I am being followed!!

Following people is so yesterday. Watch out for drones and use carrier pigeons instead of a computer. Whilst drones can shoot down your pigeons they can not read the messages being carried.

Big brother is always watching Jack and has taken a keen interest in your TS collection via your Skype camera....:wink2:

Not a huge fan of pigeons, they usually leave a calling card.{eek3}

The deaths of Mary Meyer and George de Mohrenschild are neither myth nor theory.

Meyer was shot through the heart and back of the head, not a common method of disposal in a sexual assault and murder. There was no solid evidence of a sexual assault in any case. There was no evidence either to connect the only suspect who we would be led to believe stuck around long enough after firing two gunshots to be seen standing over the body.. And this was inside a year of the JFK murder.

It is well trodden ground for the record that Meyer was a close friend of Jackie Kennedy, and even some allegations of an ongoing affair with JFK.

No myth to be seen here, only coincidence theories.

De Mohrenschild was closely associated with Oswald, and there are now tapes available where he talks freely and at length about him. No myths here either. Just more coincidence theories.

Plenty more bodies too, these are just two examples.

Oswald is an incredably interesting character and far from the village idiot that he has been portrayed. The true JFK conspiracy is how easy it was to convince the main stream that he did it and was the only person involved.

People involved in the assassination have passed away through the years. It has been 50+ years and counting. People die of natural causes, suicide, accidents over time. The conspiracy myth is that there have been an unusual number of folks who have come to an early and suspicious end. There is absolutely no evidence that the death rate among witnesses in this case is out of the norm. That myth derives from a study done by the London Sunday Times in 1967 that came to an erroneous conclusion on this issue that they later acknowledged and corrected. It is quite simply bunk.

I don't think anyone has ever portrayed Oswald as an idiot. He was an unlikable oddball with above average intelligence. He likely suffered from dyslexia which kept him back in school but showed an above average knowledge of politics and history. His nutty background is fodder for conspiracy types who interpret anything odd not as the product of Oswald's diseased mind but some nefarious force pulling the strings. Defecting to Russia, trying to defect to Cuba, attempting to assassinate General Walker (something most know little or nothing about) are all interpreted as part of the plot to frame Oswald instead of the obvious actions of a guy who is off his nut. People can interpret those actions in various ways but the basic evidence links Oswald to the crime beyond any doubt. His gun is found at the crime scene, shells from that gun are found at the window, his prints are on the rifle, sniper nest boxes, and large bag that he used to carry the rifle, he flees his place of work within minutes of the assassination without even pausing to find out what is going on, he gets a pistol, shoots a police officer, witnesses identify him as the shooter, he sneaks into a movie without buying a ticket, shouts "it's all over now" when approached by the police, resists arrest and tries to shoot another police officer. The evidence is a slam dunk even if it may never be possible to completely understand Oswald's motivations because they are known only to him and are not rational.

My opinions on the deaths of many of these people have nothing to do with the so-called "study" you refer to, and I have never read it.
